Financing
Finish every room now and pay over time, two ways through our Houzz Pro account: Affirm at checkout on our invoices from $50 to $30,000, or a loan through the GreenSky consumer loan program, made by one of its participating banks, up to $100,000, with decisions that often arrive within seconds, subject to the lender's approval. Or keep it simple: 40% at order, 60% at completion.
Do the whole house now, pay over time
Window treatments are usually the last thing in a new home and the first thing a tight budget postpones: the bedrooms get blackout and the living room waits a year. Through our Houzz Pro account you can apply for a loan in the GreenSky consumer loan program for a plan that lets you finish every room at once and pay monthly, up to $100,000, with a decision that often comes back within seconds. GreenSky runs the program and services the loans; the loans themselves are made by participating banks.
The process is yours, not ours: we text or email you the application link, you apply on your own phone, the program shows you the lender's plan and terms, and if you accept, you pay us through the GreenSky program as the work is completed. We never see your credit file. If you would rather not finance, our standard schedule, 40% at order and 60% at completion, is on the pricing and planning page.
Four steps, on your phone
Exotic Shades & Draperies is not a lender, and neither is GreenSky. Credit decisions and loan terms are made by the lending bank in the program, and are shown to you before you accept anything.
1. Get the written quote
A free consultation at your home or showroom, every opening measured, a written number per option. Or start with the instant price tool.
2. Ask for the link
We text or email you the GreenSky application link from our Houzz Pro account. It opens on your phone or computer, and decisions often arrive within seconds.
3. Accept the plan you are offered
The program shows you the lender's plan, rate and term before you accept. Deferred-interest and fixed or low-interest plans exist; which one you are offered depends on your approval.
4. Pay as the work is completed
You approve each payment to us through GreenSky by text or email as the project reaches its milestones. The shades go up on the same schedule as a cash project.
Before you apply
Read the deferred-interest terms
A deferred-interest plan charges no interest if the balance is paid within the promotional period; if a balance remains, interest can apply from the purchase date. Fixed-rate plans avoid that. GreenSky explains both on screen.
Finance part or all
Motorized shades on the plan and drapery on the standard schedule, or the reverse; the quote is written the way you want to pay it.
No change to the work
Same workroom, same crew, same three-to-four-week lead time from the approved fabric schedule.
Published prices first
Know the number before you apply: the pricing page and the instant price tool show the same figures we put in writing.
Or pay the invoice with Affirm
Affirm is a payment option at checkout on the invoices we send through Houzz Pro, for invoices from $50 to $30,000. There is nothing to request in advance: open the invoice, choose Affirm when you pay, and Affirm checks your eligibility and shows you its options before you accept anything.
Where you find it
At checkout on the Houzz Pro invoice we send you, next to the other ways to pay, on the deposit or on the balance.
Between you and Affirm
Affirm runs its own eligibility check and shows its options and terms on screen. We do not see your application, take part in it or know in advance what you will be offered.
Projects above $30,000
Affirm stops at $30,000 per invoice. For a whole-house project above that, loans through the GreenSky program go up to $100,000, subject to the lender's credit approval.
Rates from 10-36% APR. Payment options through Affirm are subject to an eligibility check, may not be available everywhere, and are provided by these lending partners: affirm.com/lenders. Options depend on your purchase amount, and a down payment may be required. CA residents: Loans by Affirm Loan Services, LLC are made or arranged pursuant to a California Financing Law license. Frequently asked
Who is the lender?
Two options, both through our Houzz Pro account. In the GreenSky consumer loan program the loans are made by federally insured, federal or state chartered banks taking part in it (participating banks); GreenSky administers the program and services the loans for them, and is not the lender. Affirm is offered at checkout on our invoices. Exotic Shades & Draperies is not a lender and does not make credit decisions; we are paid for the work, not for the financing.
Can I pay with Affirm?
Yes, at checkout on the invoice we send you through Houzz Pro, for invoices from $50 to $30,000. Affirm checks your eligibility and shows you its options and terms before you accept anything; rates from 10-36% APR, subject to an eligibility check. We do not see your application or take part in it.
How much can be financed?
Affirm appears at checkout on invoices from $50 to $30,000. Loans through the GreenSky program go up to $100,000 for home improvement projects, subject to the lender's credit approval, and most window treatment projects we quote fall well inside that.
What are the terms?
Each lender sets its own. The GreenSky program includes deferred-interest plans and fixed or low-interest plans; the plan, rate and term you are offered are set by the lending bank, depend on its credit approval, and are shown to you before you accept anything. Read the plan terms, in particular how deferred interest works if a balance remains at the end of the promotional period. Affirm shows its options and APR at checkout, before you accept.
How do I get the application link?
Ask us: we send the GreenSky application link from our Houzz Pro account by text or email, usually the same day, before the consultation or once you have the written quote. It opens on your phone or computer and GreenSky says decisions often arrive within seconds. Affirm needs no link: it is on the invoice.
Does applying affect my credit?
That depends on the lender's process at the time you apply; GreenSky and Affirm each explain it on screen before you submit. We do not see your credit information at any point.
What if I would rather not finance?
Our standard schedule is a 40% deposit to confirm the order after project approval and the remaining 60% on completion of the installation, payable by cash, major credit cards, Zelle, bank transfer or check. See pricing and planning.
Can I finance part of a project?
Yes. You can finance the motorized shades and pay the drapery on the standard schedule, or the reverse. Tell us how you want to split it and the quote is written that way.
Get the number, then decide how to pay it
A free consultation and a written quote per option come first; financing is one of the ways to pay it.
