Grasscloth is one of the Alendel sheers we make up here, with 3 colourways on the card, in 80% polyester and 20% cotton, at 118 in wide, railroaded. The colours run Cream, Putty and Overcast, across the beige and grey families. All 3 flagged in stock by Alendel. It sits in Alendel's Big Sheer Book 2.0.
At 118 in the cloth is turned sideways and the width becomes the height, so a window wall up to about 9 ft 10 in tall carries no seam at all; that is the wide-width advantage on floor-to-ceiling glass. Cotton takes a print with a soft matte face; like linen it wants a lining that carries the UV load, and on a west-facing window we line generously so the face does not fade. It weighs 0.78 lb per yard by Alendel's listing, which is on the light side. Care is S (dry clean, or spot clean with a dry-cleaning solvent); Alendel's own line reads: dry clean only. Alendel lists no fire test for it, so it is a residential cloth unless a treated lining or a certificate is arranged for the project. Country of origin, as Alendel lists it: India.
What Grasscloth does at the window, and what it does not
Best use
Sheers are our most requested drapery and Grasscloth is used as one: floor to ceiling on a ceiling-mounted track, ripplefold or pinch pleat, set at 2.5 to 3 times fullness so the wave is even from end to end. The wide width means a whole wall in one piece.
Light and privacy
By day it softens the light and frames the view. After dark, with the room lit, the room is visible from outside: sheers are layered with a blackout or lined panel where privacy matters, or with a solar roller behind for glare by day.
Cloth and care
80% polyester and 20% cotton; 0.78 lb per yard; care S (dry clean, or spot clean with a dry-cleaning solvent). Cotton and linen are lined here for the sun, and they move a little with the humidity, which is part of the look.
Limitations
No privacy at night with the lights on, and no blackout; it is layered where either is needed. Railroaded wide-width goods are not cut into Roman shades; for a matching Roman we pick a 54 inch cloth from the same book. The seamless drop tops out at about 9 ft 10 in; a taller wall is seamed or turned back up the roll. No fire listing from Alendel, so a commercial or condo common-area job needs a certificate arranged for the project or another cloth.

No sheer does once the lights are on inside. By day it filters the light and keeps the view; at night we layer a lined or blackout panel on a second track behind it, or pair it with a solar or blackout roller.
