Savannah is one of the Alendel sheers we make up here, with 3 colourways on the card, in 89% polyester and 11% viscose, at 115 in wide, railroaded. The card is Fog, Parchment and Natural; Alendel files them under grey, beige and brown. All 3 flagged in stock by Alendel. It sits in Alendel's Big Sheer Book 2.0.
At 115 in the cloth is turned sideways and the width becomes the height, so a window wall up to about 9 ft 7 in tall carries no seam at all; that is the wide-width advantage on floor-to-ceiling glass. The repeat is vertical 2.06 in, horizontal 0.86 in, matched across seams and from window to window, so the yardage is figured on the repeat rather than the finished size. The viscose is what gives it the lustre; it is lined for the sun and kept out of wet rooms. Alendel lists the weight at 0.80 lb per yard, medium-weight for a sheer. Care is S (dry clean, or spot clean with a dry-cleaning solvent); Alendel's own line reads: dry clean only. Alendel lists no fire test for it, so it is a residential cloth unless a treated lining or a certificate is arranged for the project. Every colourway is listed as Oeko-Tex. What Savannah does at the window, and what it does not
Best use
Savannah is a sheer, so it goes where the point is daylight and the view: living rooms and dining rooms on the water, a wall of sliders, a bedroom by day with a blackout layer behind it for night. Railroaded at 115 in it runs seamless across a window wall on a ceiling track, ripplefold at 2.5 to 3 times fullness.
Light and privacy
A sheer filters hard sunlight into an even glow and keeps the view; it takes the glare off a white sofa without hiding the water. It gives no privacy at night with the lights on, so a bedroom takes a lined or blackout panel on a second track behind it, and it is not a blackout.
Cloth and care
89% polyester and 11% viscose; 0.80 lb per yard; care S (dry clean, or spot clean with a dry-cleaning solvent). Viscose gives the lustre and is kept out of wet rooms. Listed as Oeko-Tex.
Limitations
No privacy at night with the lights on, and no blackout; it is layered where either is needed. Railroaded wide-width goods are not cut into Roman shades; for a matching Roman we pick a 54 inch cloth from the same book. The seamless drop tops out at about 9 ft 7 in; a taller wall is seamed or turned back up the roll. No fire listing from Alendel, so a commercial or condo common-area job needs a certificate arranged for the project or another cloth.

Where Savannah works here
Savannah is a sheer we would put on the ocean side of a Sunny Isles or Fort Lauderdale living room, floor to ceiling on a ceiling-mounted track, with the fullness set for the cloth so the wave is even from end to end.
