Alendel lists Glitz as a sheer in 4 colourways, in 91% polyester and 9% cotton, at 120 in wide, railroaded. The card is Bisque, Natural, White and Pewter; Alendel files them under beige, brown, white and grey. All 4 flagged in stock by Alendel. It sits in Alendel's Transparency Book.
At 120 in the cloth is turned sideways and the width becomes the height, so a window wall up to about 10 ft tall carries no seam at all; that is the wide-width advantage on floor-to-ceiling glass. The repeat is vertical 1 in, matched across seams and from window to window, so the yardage is figured on the repeat rather than the finished size. A cotton ground reads matte and takes colour well, and it is lined for the sun: the lining carries the UV and the face keeps its colour. Alendel lists the weight at 0.37 lb per yard, light for a sheer. Care is WA-P (washable or dry clean); Alendel's own line reads: washable, dry clean. Alendel lists no fire test for it, so it is a residential cloth unless a treated lining or a certificate is arranged for the project. Every colourway is listed as Oeko-Tex. It comes with a weighted hem in the selvedge, which is why the wide sheers hang plumb without a chain weight from us.
What Glitz does at the window, and what it does not
Best use
Glitz is a sheer, so it goes where the point is daylight and the view: living rooms and dining rooms on the water, a wall of sliders, a bedroom by day with a blackout layer behind it for night. Railroaded at 120 in it runs seamless across a window wall on a ceiling track, ripplefold at 2.5 to 3 times fullness.
Light and privacy
By day it softens the light and frames the view. After dark, with the room lit, the room is visible from outside: sheers are layered with a blackout or lined panel where privacy matters, or with a solar roller behind for glare by day.
Cloth and care
91% polyester and 9% cotton; 0.37 lb per yard; care WA-P (washable or dry clean). Cotton and linen are lined here for the sun, and they move a little with the humidity, which is part of the look. Listed as Oeko-Tex.
Limitations
No privacy at night with the lights on, and no blackout; it is layered where either is needed. Railroaded wide-width goods are not cut into Roman shades; for a matching Roman we pick a 54 inch cloth from the same book. The seamless drop tops out at about 10 ft; a taller wall is seamed or turned back up the roll. No fire listing from Alendel, so a commercial or condo common-area job needs a certificate arranged for the project or another cloth.
