What is the Somfy Digital Network (SDN)?
The Somfy Digital Network (SDN) is Somfy's wired network for RS485 motors: PoE gateways, the Data Panel, PowerConnect rack and surface panels, power distribution enclosures, interfaces, bus boosters, cables and connectors. The SDN PoE Gateway powers and controls up to four 24V RS485 motors from one standard Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable, delivering up to 51W. The Data Panel adds four isolated bus segments, each supporting 255 devices and 4000 ft of bus wiring. Power distribution enclosures come for 5, 10, 15 and 20 motors.
