Alendel lists Benjamin as a jacquard in 4 colourways, in 100% polyester, at 55 in wide. The colours run Fig, French, Harvest and Linen, across the purple, blue, orange and beige families. All 4 flagged in stock by Alendel. It sits in Alendel's CI Desert Sands Book and CI Windsong Book.
At 55 in it is cut up the roll like a conventional drapery cloth: a panel joins widths at the seam, which sits inside a pleat, and a Roman shade takes one width up to roughly 50 inches finished before it needs a joined width. The repeat is horizontal 7 in, matched across seams and from window to window, so the yardage is figured on the repeat rather than the finished size. Being polyester it holds a pleat, keeps its size through humidity and a wash or a dry clean, and takes the sun better than a natural fibre, which matters on unshaded glass here. Alendel lists the weight at 1.00 to 1.41 lb per yard, substantial for a jacquard, so the track or rod is sized to carry it. Care is WA-P (washable or dry clean). Alendel lists no fire test for it, so it is a residential cloth unless a treated lining or a certificate is arranged for the project. Every colourway is listed as Oeko-Tex.
What Benjamin does at the window, and what it does not
Best use
Benjamin works both ways from the same bolt: pinch pleat, Euro pleat or ripplefold panels in the main rooms and flat, relaxed or hobbled Roman shades on the secondary windows, so the kitchen, study and baths read as one scheme with the living room.
Light and privacy
An opaque cloth, so privacy is complete when it is closed. The light is decided by the lining: light-filtering keeps a living room glowing, thermal or bump interlining adds body and quiet, blackout turns a bedroom dark. Benjamin is lined in every case; on west glass we line generously so the face does not fade.
Cloth and care
100% polyester; 1.00 to 1.41 lb per yard; care WA-P (washable or dry clean); 25,000 rubs abrasion. Polyester keeps its size and its pleat in humid air and after cleaning, and holds its colour in the sun better than a natural fibre. Listed as Oeko-Tex.
Limitations
At 55 in a wide panel is made of joined widths; the seams sit inside the pleats, and the repeat is matched at every seam, which costs yardage. The weight needs a track or rod sized for it; a light decorative rod will bow. No fire listing from Alendel, so a commercial or condo common-area job needs a certificate arranged for the project or another cloth.

Lined, interlined or blackout-lined, cordless or on a Lutron or Somfy motor, sewn in the same workroom as the panels. A print like this shows best on a flat fold, where the folds do not break the design.
