Fluid is one of the Alendel drapery cloths we make up here, with 36 colourways on the card, in 100% polyester, at 118 in wide, railroaded. The colours run Cool, Coastal, Chocolate, Brown, Denim, Turquoise, Shiraz, Orange and 28 more, across the blue, brown, red, orange, purple and black families. All 36 flagged in stock by Alendel. It sits in Alendel's Supernova Book.

The width is the reason to look at it: railroaded, the 118 in becomes the drop, so a wall of glass up to about 9 ft 10 in high runs seamless from end to end, which is how we sew a drapery across a window wall without a seam. Polyester holds its pleat and its size in humid air and after cleaning, and stands up to Florida sun better than cotton or linen does. Alendel lists the weight at 1.69 lb per yard, heavy for a drapery cloth, so the track or rod is sized to carry it. Care is P (professional dry clean); Alendel's own line reads: dry clean only. It passes NFPA 701 and CAN/ULC S109, the drapery flame tests asked for on commercial and condo common-area work in the US and Canada. Every colourway is listed as Oeko-Tex.
