Vancouver is one of the Alendel drapery cloths we make up here, with 49 colourways on the card, in 80% polyester and 20% cotton, at 120 in wide, railroaded. The card is Viola, Squash, Spring, Slipper, Pelican, Magnet, Falcon, Elm plus 41 more; Alendel files them under purple, orange, green, pink, white and black. All 49 flagged in stock by Alendel. It sits in Alendel's Supernova Book and East Meets West Book.
The width is the reason to look at it: railroaded, the 120 in becomes the drop, so a wall of glass up to about 10 ft high runs seamless from end to end, which is how we sew a drapery across a window wall without a seam. Cotton takes a print with a soft matte face; like linen it wants a lining that carries the UV load, and on a west-facing window we line generously so the face does not fade. It weighs 2.15 lb per yard by Alendel's listing, and a cloth of that weight is hung on a track or rod sized for it. Care is WA-P (washable or dry clean). It carries CAL 117, NFPA 260 and UFAC Class 1, the upholstery flammability listings. Every colourway is listed as Oeko-Tex. Country of origin, as Alendel lists it: India.
What Vancouver does at the window, and what it does not
Best use
Vancouver is a drapery cloth at 120 in, railroaded, so it is for panels rather than Roman shades: ripplefold or pinch pleat on a track, floor to ceiling across a wall of glass with no seam.
Light and privacy
An opaque cloth, so privacy is complete when it is closed. The light is decided by the lining: light-filtering keeps a living room glowing, thermal or bump interlining adds body and quiet, blackout turns a bedroom dark. Vancouver is lined in every case; on west glass we line generously so the face does not fade.
Cloth and care
80% polyester and 20% cotton; 2.15 lb per yard; care WA-P (washable or dry clean); 50,000 rubs abrasion. Cotton and linen are lined here for the sun, and they move a little with the humidity, which is part of the look. Listed as Oeko-Tex.
Limitations
Railroaded wide-width goods are not cut into Roman shades; for a matching Roman we pick a 54 inch cloth from the same book. Not for a wet bathroom or a shower window. The weight needs a track or rod sized for it; a light decorative rod will bow.

Alendel lists it as passing CAL 117, NFPA 260 and UFAC Class 1, which are upholstery tests rather than the drapery flame test. For a residence that is not an issue; for a commercial or condo common-area job that asks for NFPA 701 we would pick a listed cloth or arrange a treated lining and a certificate for the project.
Can Vancouver run seamless across a whole wall of glass?
Yes. At 120 in it is railroaded: the cloth is turned sideways, the width becomes the drop, and a window wall up to about 10 ft high carries no seam. Taller than that it is seamed, or run up the roll with a seam at each width.
What does Vancouver cost made up as draperies?
