A 120 in drapery cloth in 56% recycled polyester and 44% polyester with 28 colourways
Hartford is a drapery cloth from Alendel, listed in 28 colourways, in 56% recycled polyester and 44% polyester, at 120 in wide, railroaded. The colours run Alabaster, Almond, Atlantis, Avocado, Ballerina, Calypso, Cardinal, Charcoal and 20 more, across the beige, blue, green, pink, orange and red families. 27 of the 28 flagged in stock by Alendel. It sits in Alendel's New Haven Book.
The width is the reason to look at it: railroaded, the 120 in becomes the drop, so a wall of glass up to about 10 ft high runs seamless from end to end, which is how we sew a drapery across a window wall without a seam. Being polyester it holds a pleat, keeps its size through humidity and a wash or a dry clean, and takes the sun better than a natural fibre, which matters on unshaded glass here. Alendel lists the weight at 1.87 lb per yard, heavy for a drapery cloth, so the track or rod is sized to carry it. Care is WA-P (washable or dry clean). It passes NFPA 701 and CAN/ULC S109, the drapery flame tests asked for on commercial and condo common-area work in the US and Canada; it also carries CAL 117, an upholstery flammability listing; and FMVSS 302, the automotive interior test. Every colourway is listed as Oeko-Tex. Finish: Soil & Stain Repellent. Country of origin, as Alendel lists it: India.
What Hartford does at the window, and what it does not
Best use
Hartford is a drapery cloth at 120 in, railroaded, so it is for panels rather than Roman shades: ripplefold or pinch pleat on a track, floor to ceiling across a wall of glass with no seam.
Light and privacy
An opaque cloth, so privacy is complete when it is closed. The light is decided by the lining: light-filtering keeps a living room glowing, thermal or bump interlining adds body and quiet, blackout turns a bedroom dark. Hartford is lined in every case; on west glass we line generously so the face does not fade.
Cloth and care
56% recycled polyester and 44% polyester; 1.87 lb per yard; care WA-P (washable or dry clean). Polyester keeps its size and its pleat in humid air and after cleaning, and holds its colour in the sun better than a natural fibre. Listed as Oeko-Tex. Finish: Soil & Stain Repellent.
Limitations
Railroaded wide-width goods are not cut into Roman shades; for a matching Roman we pick a 54 inch cloth from the same book. The weight needs a track or rod sized for it; a light decorative rod will bow. 1 of the 28 colour is not flagged in stock, so that colour is a mill order with a longer lead time; we confirm stock before anything is cut.

Width, content, repeat, care code, fire listings and weight per yard are Alendel's own listing for each colourway, captured from its trade catalogue; the stock flag is Alendel's public availability filter on the day we read it and is confirmed against the order before anything is cut. Where Hartford works here
Hartford is a wide-width drapery cloth, so it goes on the big glass: ripplefold on a ceiling track across a Brickell living room wall, motorized on Lutron or Somfy so thirty feet of fabric glides open in silence, lined for the sun. It is cut and sewn in our Fort Lauderdale workroom and installed by our own team from Miami to Palm Beach.
For the same use, compare Hartford with Bridgeport (drapery cloth, 118 in railroaded, 29 colourways), Toronto (drapery cloth, 122 in railroaded, 65 colourways) and Vancouver (drapery cloth, 120 in railroaded, 49 colourways); the table on each page lists the width, content, care code, fire listings and weight side by side.

Ask for a price with the button above and we come back with a figure, not a range.
