Lola is one of the Alendel jacquards we make up here, with 1 colourway on the card, in 100% polyester, at 57 in wide. The single colour is Opal, filed by Alendel under beige. Flagged in stock by Alendel. It sits in Alendel's C.I. Luxe Book.
The 57 in width runs up the roll, so panels are made of joined widths with the seams hidden in the pleats, and a Roman shade under about 50 inches finished is cut from a single width. Being polyester it holds a pleat, keeps its size through humidity and a wash or a dry clean, and takes the sun better than a natural fibre, which matters on unshaded glass here. It weighs 1.00 lb per yard by Alendel's listing, and a cloth of that weight is hung on a track or rod sized for it. Care is WA-P (washable or dry clean); Alendel's own line reads: washable, dry clean. It carries CAL 117, NFPA 260 and UFAC Class 1, the upholstery flammability listings; and FMVSS 302, the automotive interior test. Every colourway is listed as Oeko-Tex. What Lola does at the window, and what it does not
Best use
We make Lola up as draperies and as Roman shades, and the two are ordered from one bolt so the repeat and the dye lot match from room to room. A jacquard shows best on a flat-fold Roman, where the folds do not break the design.
Light and privacy
Closed, Lola gives full privacy. What the room looks like closed comes from the lining we sew in: light-filtering for living areas, interlining for body and acoustics, blackout for bedrooms. The lining also carries the UV load off the face cloth.
Cloth and care
100% polyester; 1.00 lb per yard; care WA-P (washable or dry clean); 135,000 rubs abrasion. Polyester keeps its size and its pleat in humid air and after cleaning, and holds its colour in the sun better than a natural fibre. Listed as Oeko-Tex.
Limitations
At 57 in a wide panel is made of joined widths; the seams sit inside the pleats. The weight needs a track or rod sized for it; a light decorative rod will bow.

For a residence that is not an issue; for a commercial or condo common-area job that asks for NFPA 701 we would pick a listed cloth or arrange a treated lining and a certificate for the project.
