At 54 in it is cut up the roll like a conventional drapery cloth: a panel joins widths at the seam, which sits inside a pleat, and a Roman shade takes one width up to roughly 50 inches finished before it needs a joined width. Alendel gives the repeat as vertical 13.94 in, horizontal 14.17 in; we match it across every seam and every window in the room, which adds yardage and is part of the quote. Polyester holds its pleat and its size in humid air and after cleaning, and stands up to Florida sun better than cotton or linen does. Alendel lists the weight at 1.09 lb per yard, substantial for a velvet, so the track or rod is sized to carry it. Care is WA-P (washable or dry clean); Alendel's own line reads: washable, dry clean. It carries CAL 117, an upholstery flammability listing; and FMVSS 302, the automotive interior test. Every colourway is listed as Oeko-Tex. Country of origin, as Alendel lists it: India.
