At 122 in the cloth is turned sideways and the width becomes the height, so a window wall up to about 10 ft 2 in tall carries no seam at all; that is the wide-width advantage on floor-to-ceiling glass. Alendel gives the repeat as vertical 23.8 in, horizontal 25.5 in; we match it across every seam and every window in the room, which adds yardage and is part of the quote. Being polyester it holds a pleat, keeps its size through humidity and a wash or a dry clean, and takes the sun better than a natural fibre, which matters on unshaded glass here. Alendel lists the weight at 1.60 lb per yard, heavy for a drapery cloth, so the track or rod is sized to carry it. Care is WA-P (washable or dry clean). Best use
Pavo is a drapery cloth at 122 in, railroaded, so it is for panels rather than Roman shades: ripplefold or pinch pleat on a track, floor to ceiling across a wall of glass with no seam.
Light and privacy
An opaque cloth, so privacy is complete when it is closed. The light is decided by the lining: light-filtering keeps a living room glowing, thermal or bump interlining adds body and quiet, blackout turns a bedroom dark. Pavo is lined in every case; on west glass we line generously so the face does not fade.
Cloth and care
72% recycled polyester and 28% polyester; 1.60 lb per yard; care WA-P (washable or dry clean); 19,500 rubs abrasion. Polyester keeps its size and its pleat in humid air and after cleaning, and holds its colour in the sun better than a natural fibre. Listed as Oeko-Tex.
Limitations
Railroaded wide-width goods are not cut into Roman shades; for a matching Roman we pick a 54 inch cloth from the same book. The weight needs a track or rod sized for it; a light decorative rod will bow. 1 of the 9 colour is not flagged in stock, so that colour is a mill order with a longer lead time; we confirm stock before anything is cut.
