At 54 in it is cut up the roll like a conventional drapery cloth: a panel joins widths at the seam, which sits inside a pleat, and a Roman shade takes one width up to roughly 50 inches finished before it needs a joined width. The repeat is vertical 18.25 in, horizontal 16.75 in, matched across seams and from window to window, so the yardage is figured on the repeat rather than the finished size. Being polyester it holds a pleat, keeps its size through humidity and a wash or a dry clean, and takes the sun better than a natural fibre, which matters on unshaded glass here. It weighs 1.16 lb per yard by Alendel's listing, and a cloth of that weight is hung on a track or rod sized for it. Care is P (professional dry clean); Alendel's own line reads: dry clean - gentle cycle.
