What is the Forest Dresden Traversing?
The Forest Dresden Traversing rod is a 1 1/8 inch German-made aluminum rail with finials and brackets in solid brass, drawn by hand or baton, rated for 4 lb of drapery per foot. Dresden is Forest's most traditional traversing rod: the drapery runs on carriers inside the rail, so it opens and closes like a track, but the room sees a round rod and brass hardware. Nine finishes run from polished chrome and satin brass to bronze matte, plus beech, oak and walnut for the poles. Brackets step up with the length, from two up to 60 inches to five at 240 inches.
