Blindspace® TrackTrim® and TrackTrim Click
A plaster-in profile the width of the drapery track, with an end set molded for the exact motor and return end of the system going in. The track disappears into the ceiling; the drapery hangs from a slot. Profiles, end sets, maximum runs and curves below, for the three motorized tracks we install and for manual tracks.
A slot the width of the track, and an end set made for the motor
TrackTrim is Blindspace's plaster-in profile for drapery tracks: an aluminum channel 90 mm wide and 30 mm deep, fixed into the ceiling framing every 200 mm while the building is open, with skim-coat flanges that let the plaster run up to a chamfered edge. The drapery track is fixed up through the profile, so there is no bracket to see, and the slot is painted with the ceiling.
What makes it different from a drywall slot is the end set. Each motorized track has a motor housing at one end and a return at the other, and Blindspace molds an end set to each: TTLMB1F and TTLRB1F for the Lutron Sivoia track, TTSMB1F and TTSRB1F for the Somfy Glydea, TTCMB1F and TTCRB1F for the Crestron track, flat ends for manual tracks. The slot ends exactly where the hardware ends. TrackTrim Click is the same profile with clips instead of screws: the track clicks in and comes out with a removal tool.
Straight runs are drawn to 30 feet on a single Lutron or Crestron motor and 46 feet on a Glydea, longer with two motors; dual tracks sit 140 or 180 mm apart; corners and curves are standard sections.

What we check before the profile is ordered
Stack width against slot length
The drapery stacks below the ceiling, but the return end must clear the plaster. We size the return bracket from the system's own return and check the stack against the wall.
Motor end and power
The motor end set is at the end where power arrives: 120 V or 24 V for Glydea, the QS link for Sivoia, Cresnet for Crestron. The drawing fixes which end.
Dual spacing
A sheer and a blackout on two profiles need 140 mm between tracks on the Lutron and Somfy drawings, 180 mm on the wider Somfy layout; the corner and curve parts are matched to the spacing.
Curves and corners
A bay gets chained 22.5-degree sections at a radius the fabric can round; a corner gets a one-piece return or a curve, decided from the drapery's fullness.
Click or screw
TrackTrim Click goes in where the track may come out again for service; the clip positions are set from the stack area on the drawing.
The hairline
Fixing every 200 mm, splice pins at every joint, flanges feathered into the skim coat: the profile edge is the only line in the ceiling, and it is straight.

Does the drapery stack need more than the slot?
The slot carries the track; the stack hangs below the ceiling in the room. Where a drapery must disappear behind a wall return, the return end set is sized to the system's own return bracket so the fabric clears the plaster. We check the stack width against the slot length before the profile is ordered.
