Crestron drapery track and motors
One track system, one motor in two versions, and the sheers and draperies our workroom sews for it.
About Crestron drapery track and motors
Crestron's drapery offer is one track system, the CSS-DRAPERY, driven by the CSM-QMTDC-DRP-3 Digital QMT motor in Cresnet and infiNET EX versions, 4 catalogue items in all with the template kit: straight tracks to 240 inches and 145 lb, tandem to 480 inches, left, right, centre, asymmetric and multiple draws, pinch pleat, Ripplefold and Accordia-fold headings, and Touch Motion so a pull on the fabric starts the motor.
Every model on these pages is on crestron.com today, with Crestron's own specifications. Exotic Shades is Crestron certified in Fort Lauderdale and Miami Beach; Crestron builds each shade to order from our measurements; we install it with our own team and commission it with your integrator.
How a Crestron track is specified
Length and weight
240 inches straight, 480 in tandem; 145 and 290 lb. Our sheers are light, a lined blackout drapery over a 20 ft wall is not, so the weight of the finished panel decides the layout.
Mount
Ceiling on cam locks or screws, wall on adjustable L brackets, or inside a pocket so nothing shows but fabric. Recessed curtain tracks.
Heading and fullness
The carriers are spaced for the heading, so the fabric is sewn to the track: ripplefold at 100% or 120% fullness for most South Florida sheers, pinch pleat where the room is classic.
Power and link
24 V DC from the same supplies as the shade motors, one home run on Cresnet or an infiNET EX gateway; the motor sits at one end of the track.

Figures are Crestron's own budgetary MSRP guide of June 2022 for one motorized 5 Series roller shade, motor included, before options. They exclude the control system, wiring, power, programming and installation, and Crestron may have changed them since. We quote every project at the measure.
Crestron drapery track and motors: frequently asked
Does the Crestron track work with sheers?
Yes; most of the Crestron tracks we hang carry ripplefold sheers, sewn in our workroom to the track's carrier spacing so the wave is even wall to wall.
Can the Crestron track bend?
The CSA-DRAPE-TEMPLATE kit exists to lay out custom track shapes on site; Crestron publishes the straight limits (240 in, 480 in tandem) and splices tracks over 192 inches. We confirm any curve or bay layout with Crestron before the order.
