Crestron shade power supplies and controllers
What sits in the closet: the supplies that feed the motors, one home run each, and the interfaces that bring line-voltage and Somfy motors into Crestron.
About Crestron shade power supplies and controllers
Behind every wired Crestron shade is a 24 V DC power supply with one output per motor: 15 catalogue items across the single-motor CSA-PWS40, the plenum-rated two-motor CSA-PWS2S-JBOX-ZUMLINK-CN, the ten-motor CSA-PWS10S-HUB-ENET with its Cresnet hub and Ethernet bridge, their terminal blocks, and two interfaces, the C2N-SDC for conventional 120 V AC motors and the CI-SOMFY-RTS for up to 16 groups of Somfy RTS motors.
Every model on these pages is on crestron.com today, with Crestron's own specifications. Exotic Shades is Crestron certified in Fort Lauderdale and Miami Beach; Crestron builds each shade to order from our measurements; we install it with our own team and commission it with your integrator.
How the closet is sized
One output per motor
Crestron rates a QMT motor at 42.5 W and wires every motor on its own home run; count the shades and tracks, divide by ten, and that is the number of PWS10S hubs.
Cresnet reach
About 130 ft on standard Cresnet, 500 ft on Cresnet HP, from the supply to the farthest window; long runs and big houses get a supply per wing.
Plenum and single shades
A shade in a suspended ceiling takes the UL 2043 PWS2S in a 4 x 4 box; one retrofit shade near an outlet takes a PWS40 wall pack.
Other motors, same scenes
The C2N-SDC brings a 120 V AC screen or heavy shade onto Cresnet; the CI-SOMFY-RTS brings Somfy RTS shades in, as Somfy's TaHoma integration did at Salato.

Crestron shade power supplies and controllers: frequently asked
Does a Crestron shade need a special electrician?
It needs low-voltage wiring, one 4-conductor Cresnet home run per motor to the supply, plus a 120 V outlet at the supply; any electrician can pull it from our window-by-window schedule. Pre-wiring guide.
Where does the infiNET EX gateway fit in?
The EX motors take only power from these supplies and talk to the processor through a CEN-GWEXER gateway on the network; the SG battery motors use the CEN-GW1. One gateway serves the home.
