What is the Forest CM Ceiling Mount System?
The Forest CM Ceiling Mount System is a low-profile aluminum track screwed straight to the ceiling through holes drilled every 16 inches, with the same 6 lb per foot rating as CS. It suits drapery that should start at the ceiling line without brackets showing. A 6 ft Forest CM track (white) costs $193.82; a 12 ft one costs $276.56.
CM is the ceiling-only sibling of the CS track. There are no brackets: the track itself is fixed through its pre-drilled holes, which keeps it tight to the plaster and quick to install on a long run. It accepts the same carriers and masters as CS, so ripplefold, pinch pleat and cubicle-style draperies all work, drawn by hand or with a baton. Forest prices assembled CM sets in white only, which is what most ceilings want anyway.

Where the Forest CM track fits
CM earns its place in condos with flat concrete ceilings and no soffit, where the drapery has to hang from the ceiling to hide the top of a sliding door and there is no room for a bracket projection.
