A twill-weave screen with a softer, textile look
T Screen is woven as a twill rather than a basket weave, which gives it a fine diagonal texture and a more textile appearance than E Screen at the same openness. It is the same 36% fiberglass, 64% vinyl construction, 120 inches wide, and comes in 1% and 3% only: this is a glare-control fabric first. Most colourways are two-tone (White/Grey, Pearl/Charcoal, Charcoal/Grey-Stone and so on) with a white, grey or black back, so you can pick the face colour for the room and the back colour for how the building reads from outside.
T Screen with KOOLBLACK adds ten charcoal colourways with a black heat-reflective back. Where a plain charcoal screen absorbs most of the sun that hits it, the KOOLBLACK versions reflect roughly a third of it, which is what lets a dark, clear-view fabric work on hot glass.

Where T Screen works here
We used T Screen 3% in White on the Sivoia QS solar shades at the Ritz-Carlton Residences in Sunny Isles Beach, where the brief was glare control with the water view intact and a soft, non-technical look next to Loro Piana sheers. That is T Screen's territory: high-end interiors where a fiberglass screen has to look like a fabric, not a screen. The 1% version is our answer for east and west glass in Brickell and on the Intracoastal where the sun is low and direct.

Is T Screen more private than E Screen?
At the same openness, no; privacy at night comes from the light balance, not the weave pattern. T Screen is chosen for its twill texture and its two-tone colour card. If night privacy is the priority, pair it with a blackout or a light-filtering layer in the same window.
How wide can a Lutron T Screen shade be?
Lutron publishes a maximum usable fabric width of 120 inches for T Screen. It can be seamed for wider openings, or two shades share one headrail and move together. We confirm the exact limit for the chosen system when we measure.
Which Lutron shades use T Screen?
T Screen is made up on Lutron roller shades and tensioned skylight shades. Colourways approved for tensioned shades can also cover skylights and sloped glass.
