What is the Somfy Sonesse 30?
The Somfy Sonesse 30 is a quiet 24V DC tube motor for small interior shades and blinds, made in five control versions: RTS radio, Zigbee, RS485, dry contact (DCT) and Power over Ethernet (PoE). In 2026 the Somfy Sonesse 30 range runs from $255.91 (Sonesse 30 DCT 24V DC) to $421.17 (Sonesse 30 PoE), retail, product only.
Somfy lists the RTS version at 47 dB and designed it with interchangeable motor head covers in white, grey or black, so the motor head matches the bracket and the light gap at the side of the shade stays small. Being low voltage, it runs from a 24V power supply or, on the PoE version, from a network cable. The older Sonesse 30 RTS, DCT, RS485 and WireFree models are discontinued; the table below shows what replaced them.

Where the Sonesse 30 fits
The Sonesse 30 is made for narrow windows, bathroom and closet shades and the small panels beside a slider, where a larger motor would not fit the tube. What is the difference between the Sonesse 30 RTS and Zigbee versions?
They are the same 24V DC motor with a different radio. RTS answers Somfy's RTS remotes, wall switches and the TaHoma switch; Zigbee joins a Zigbee network through the TaHoma switch and answers Ysia remotes.
Can I change the colour of the Sonesse 30 motor head?
