Lutron Atelier Collection
130 colourways in 7 designer fabrics, each paired with its own blackout: the textiles at the top of Lutron's library.
Shade fabrics chosen the way you choose an upholstery
The Atelier Collection is the designer end of Lutron's library: seven textured, PVC-free polyester fabrics (Bouclé, Roseau, Satine, Matrice, Pochoir, Stria, Tela), each offered as a light-filtering weave and as a blackout in the identical colour card, 130 colourways in all. Lutron organises the colours into four stories, Pure, Canvas, Shadow and Mystic, that run across the seven designs so a scheme can mix textures within one palette. These are the fabrics for a project where the shade is specified alongside the sofa fabric rather than after it.
Widths are 108 inches for Bouclé, Satine, Matrice, Pochoir and Stria, and 116 for Roseau and Tela. Four of the seven are Oeko-Tex certified, all are GREENGUARD and RoHS listed, and Tela is the one Atelier fabric with an NFPA 701 listing for commercial use. They sit at the top of Lutron's price scale.

Atelier fabrics in South Florida interiors
These are the fabrics we specify with designers in Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, Coconut Grove and Palm Beach: living rooms with exposed Palladiom rollers in Matrice or Stria, primary suites in Bouclé or Satine with the blackout twin behind, media rooms in Roseau Jet. The light-filtering versions give daytime privacy with a glowing, upholstered look; the blackouts, in side channels, make a bedroom fully dark without changing the fabric the room is dressed in.

Atelier on our Lutron installations
We order the Atelier samples you shortlist for the consultation and make the shades up in-house on Lutron Sivoia QS, Palladiom and Triathlon rollers. For trade partners, the Atelier Collection is the one we most often bring to a designer's studio for a scheme meeting.
Atelier: frequently asked
What makes the Atelier Collection different from Lutron's other fabrics?
Texture and pairing. Each Atelier fabric is a decorative textile rather than a technical weave, and each comes as a light-filtering and a blackout in the same colours, so one fabric dresses a room by day and darkens it at night.
Are Atelier fabrics see-through?
No. They are light-filtering (under 2% to under 6% openness) and private by day; they glow rather than reveal. For a view, see the solar screens.
Are they fire rated?
Tela and Tela Blackout carry an NFPA 701 listing; the other Atelier fabrics do not list a domestic fire rating in Lutron's data, so for commercial work we steer to Tela or to the Commercial Collection.
Can Atelier fabrics go on exposed Palladiom rollers?
Yes, and Matrice and Stria are particularly suited to it because their stiffened construction rolls perfectly straight, which is what an exposed roll shows off.
