Montenegro is an outdoor boucle geometric from Holland & Sherry, in their Higgins Giles & Co outdoor range (82% polyester, 18% polyolefin, 55 in wide, made in Italy). The range runs to 4 colourways: Coconut Shell, Deep Ocean, Moody Lagoon and Sea Salt. Their spec sheet gives its end use as "Upholstery, drapery, multi-use".
At 55 in wide, panels are made of joined widths and the seams fall inside the pleats. Holland & Sherry's sheet gives the fabric direction as railroaded. Best use
Montenegro is an outdoor performance cloth that Holland & Sherry list for drapery as well as upholstery, so it is the drapery for an outdoor room: a loggia, a cabana, a covered terrace, pinch pleat or ripplefold on a track rated for outdoors.
Light and privacy
Closed, Montenegro gives full privacy; how much light comes through is decided by the lining we sew behind it: light-filtering for living rooms, interlining for body and quiet, blackout for bedrooms (the lining guide).
Cloth and care
82% polyester, 18% polyolefin; 21 oz per linear yard (485 g per linear metre); Martindale 20,000 rubs; Wyzenbeek 20,000 double rubs. Care, by Holland & Sherry's sheet: do not dry clean; washed as their care instructions describe.
Limitations
At 55 in a wide panel is made of joined widths, and the repeat is matched at every seam, which costs yardage. No NFPA 701 result in Holland & Sherry's data, so a condo common area or a commercial job that asks for it needs the cloth flame treated with a certificate, if Holland & Sherry can supply it that way, or another cloth.

We make and install
The cloth comes to our Fort Lauderdale workroom, where our five in-house seamstresses cut and sew the draperies, and our own installers hang them on the rod, track or motorized system the window calls for.
