A boucle sheer at 55 in, in 4 colourways
Rustic Sheer is one of the Holland & Sherry cloths we make up as sheers: a boucle sheer in their Western Skies collection (100% wool, 55 in wide, made in Chile). It comes in 4 colourways, Glacier, Mineral, Chestnut and Hewn. Their spec sheet gives its end use as "Drapery and window treatments".
The 55 in width runs up the roll, so panels are made of joined widths and the seams fall inside the pleats. Holland & Sherry's sheet gives the direction as up the roll.
Wool is naturally flame resistant but not sun resistant: it fades and weakens in direct sun, so on bright south or west glass a solar roller behind the sheer takes the sun first. It can stretch a little over time in humid air, and it is happiest in an air-conditioned room (what each fibre does). It weighs 4 oz per linear yard (150 g per linear metre), light enough for a long run on a ceiling track.
Their drapery note advises hanging the drapery before it is hemmed, so the cloth settles to the room.

What Rustic Sheer does at the window, and what it does not
Best use
Rustic Sheer is a sheer at 55 in, cut up the roll and seamed, so it suits single windows, French doors and bedrooms, ripplefold or pinch pleat, with a lined panel behind it where privacy matters.
Light and privacy
By day it softens the light and frames the view; after dark, with the room lit, the room shows from outside, so sheers are layered with a lined or blackout panel where privacy matters.
Cloth and care
100% wool; 4 oz per linear yard (150 g per linear metre). Care, by Holland & Sherry's sheet: professional dry clean only.
Limitations
No privacy at night with the lights on, and no blackout; it is layered where either is needed. Natural fibres fade in hard sun, so on unshaded south or west glass a solar roller behind it takes the sun first. At 55 in a wide panel is made of joined widths; the seams sit inside the pleats. No NFPA 701 result in Holland & Sherry's data, so a condo common area or a commercial job that asks for it needs the cloth flame treated with a certificate, if Holland & Sherry can supply it that way, or another cloth.

Your designer specifies
Holland & Sherry sell to the trade, so the cloth is chosen and ordered by your designer, with the colour code and the sample in hand. Not working with a designer? Tell us; we can suggest a cloth we order ourselves.
We measure and give the yardage
We measure the windows, settle the style, the fullness and the lining, and work out the yardage on the width and the repeat, so the order to Holland & Sherry is right the first time.
We make and install
The cloth comes to our Fort Lauderdale workroom, where our five in-house seamstresses cut and sew the sheers, and our own installers hang them on the rod, track or motorized system the window calls for.
Where Rustic Sheer works here
On the ocean side of a Sunny Isles or Fort Lauderdale living room, Rustic Sheer would hang floor to ceiling on a ceiling-mounted track, hand-drawn or motorized on Lutron or Somfy, with a solar roller behind it for the glare and, in a bedroom, a blackout panel on a second track. It is cut and sewn in our Fort Lauderdale workroom and installed by our own team from Miami to Palm Beach.
