Top Stitch is one of the Holland & Sherry cloths we make up as sheers: a sheer stitch plaid (69% linen, 14% cotton, 14% wool, 3% polyester, 124 in wide, made in Italy). It comes in 2 colourways, White and Buff. Their spec sheet gives its end use as "Drapery and window treatments".
As woven, the pattern runs across the width; Holland & Sherry note it can be turned 90 degrees (railroaded) so the pattern runs vertically, and the 124 inch width becomes the drop, so a panel nearly that tall, less the heading and the hem, needs no seam. The repeat is 11.22 in across, 23.82 in down, matched at every seam and across the windows of a room, so the yardage is worked out on the repeat rather than the finished size.
Linen reads matte and relaxed and moves with the humidity, which is part of the look; on hard west sun a solar roller behind it takes the UV first. It weighs 430 g per linear metre (about 14 oz per linear yard) by Holland & Sherry's figures.
Their drapery note advises hanging the drapery before it is hemmed, so the cloth settles to the room.

What Top Stitch does at the window, and what it does not
Best use
Sheers are our most requested drapery, and Top Stitch is made for the long run: floor to ceiling across sliders and window walls on a ceiling-mounted track, ripplefold or pinch pleat, with the fullness set for the cloth.
Light and privacy
A sheer filters hard sunlight into an even glow and keeps the view. It gives no privacy at night with the lights on, so a bedroom takes a lined or blackout panel on a second track behind it.
Cloth and care
69% linen, 14% cotton, 14% wool, 3% polyester; 430 g per linear metre (about 14 oz per linear yard).
Limitations
No privacy at night with the lights on, and no blackout; it is layered where either is needed. Natural fibres fade in hard sun, so on unshaded south or west glass a solar roller behind it takes the sun first. No NFPA 701 result in Holland & Sherry's data, so a condo common area or a commercial job that asks for it needs the cloth flame treated with a certificate, if Holland & Sherry can supply it that way, or another cloth.

We measure and give the yardage
We measure the windows, settle the style, the fullness and the lining, and work out the yardage on the width and the repeat, so the order to Holland & Sherry is right the first time.
We make and install
The cloth comes to our Fort Lauderdale workroom, where our five in-house seamstresses cut and sew the sheers, and our own installers hang them on the rod, track or motorized system the window calls for.
