Holland & Sherry Harper
Linen wool sheer, 7 colourways, 56% wool, 44% linen, 118 in wide. Holland & Sherry's own figures, and how we make it up as sheers in our Fort Lauderdale workroom, from the cloth your designer orders.
A wide-width linen wool sheer at 118 in, in 7 colourways
Holland & Sherry make Harper as a linen wool sheer (56% wool, 44% linen, 118 in wide, made in Italy). The range runs to 7 colourways: Ivory, Grain, Buff, Fleur, Breeze, Shadow and Cinder. Their spec sheet gives its end use as "Drapery and window treatments".
The 118 in width is the reason to look at it for tall glass: turned 90 degrees, the width becomes the drop, and a 118 inch cloth sews to about 110 inches finished without a seam.
Wool is naturally flame resistant but not sun resistant: it fades and weakens in direct sun, so on bright south or west glass a solar roller behind the sheer takes the sun first. It can stretch a little over time in humid air, and it is happiest in an air-conditioned room (what each fibre does). It weighs 18 oz per linear yard (524 g per linear metre) by Holland & Sherry's figures.
Holland & Sherry's sheet says it can be treated to pass NFPA 701, the flame test a condo association, hotel or office asks for on drapery.

What Harper does at the window, and what it does not
Best use
Harper is a wide-width sheer, so it is for walls of glass: ripplefold on a ceiling track, two and a half to three times fullness so the wave is even from end to end, in living and dining rooms where the point is the light and the view.
Light and privacy
By day it softens the light and frames the view; after dark, with the room lit, the room shows from outside, so sheers are layered with a lined or blackout panel where privacy matters.
Cloth and care
56% wool, 44% linen; 18 oz per linear yard (524 g per linear metre). Care, by Holland & Sherry's sheet: professional dry clean only. Holland & Sherry describe the cloth as reversible.
Limitations
No privacy at night with the lights on, and no blackout; it is layered where either is needed. Natural fibres fade in hard sun, so on unshaded south or west glass a solar roller behind it takes the sun first.

How Harper becomes sheers in your home
Your designer specifies
Holland & Sherry sell to the trade, so the cloth is chosen and ordered by your designer, with the colour code and the sample in hand. Not working with a designer? Tell us; we can suggest a cloth we order ourselves.
We measure and give the yardage
We measure the windows, settle the style, the fullness and the lining, and work out the yardage on the width and the repeat, so the order to Holland & Sherry is right the first time.
We make and install
The cloth comes to our Fort Lauderdale workroom, where our five in-house seamstresses cut and sew the sheers, and our own installers hang them on the rod, track or motorized system the window calls for.
Where Harper works here
On the ocean side of a Sunny Isles or Fort Lauderdale living room, Harper would hang floor to ceiling on a ceiling-mounted track, hand-drawn or motorized on Lutron or Somfy, with a solar roller behind it for the glare and, in a bedroom, a blackout panel on a second track. It is cut and sewn in our Fort Lauderdale workroom and installed by our own team from Miami to Palm Beach.
For the same use, compare Harper with Flutter Weave (linen alpaca sheer, 130 in, 4 colourways), Top Stitch (sheer stitch plaid, 124 in, 2 colourways) and Stripe Sheer (Kalos Collection) (linen sheer, 118 in, 7 colourways).

Harper: frequently asked
How many colours does Holland & Sherry Harper come in?
7 colourways on Holland & Sherry's site when we read it on October 7, 2026: Ivory, Grain, Buff, Fleur, Breeze, Shadow and Cinder. Every one is listed on this page with its code; Holland & Sherry's photographs of each are on their own site, linked from the table.
Can I buy Harper from you?
No. Holland & Sherry sell to the trade, so your designer orders the cloth from them. We make it up and install it: we measure and work out the yardage, the cloth is sent to our Fort Lauderdale workroom, and our seamstresses cut and sew the sheers.
How is Harper cleaned?
By Holland & Sherry's sheet: professional dry clean only. More in cleaning shades and drapery.
Does Harper pass NFPA 701?
Holland & Sherry's sheet says it can be treated to pass NFPA 701, the flame test a condo association, a hotel or an office asks for on drapery. Where a project needs it, the treated cloth and its certificate are arranged through Holland & Sherry before the cloth is cut.
What does Harper cost made up as sheers?
The cloth is bought through your designer at Holland & Sherry's price, so our quote covers what we make and install: the fabrication, the track or rod and the installation, worked out from the measure. Ask for a workroom price with the button above and we come back with a figure, not a range.
