For Builders & General Contractors
Pocket dimensions at framing, pre-wire documentation your electrician can work from, model units on multi-unit work and installs sequenced around your trades: one window treatment sub from rough-in to punch list, with its own workroom and crew.
One sub from rough-in to punch list
Window treatments are the last trade in and the first thing the owner touches. The cost of getting them wrong is paid earlier: a pocket framed an inch shallow, power that landed on the wrong side, a track that cannot clear the crown. We take that off your plate with a pre-wire walk at framing, pocket dimensions on the wall, and a schedule the electrician can wire from.
Then we come back after paint, measure every opening ourselves, fabricate in our own workroom and install with our own crew, around your other trades. The pockets at Landmark Ranch Estates and the ceiling at Trump Tower III show what a coordinated rough-in looks like when the shade goes up.
Coordination that saves the schedule
Pocket dimensions at framing
Width, depth, access and closure per opening, marked on site and issued in writing, with Blindspace boxes where the design uses them.
Pre-wire documentation
Motor, voltage, power location and low-voltage runs per opening; panel and keypad locations; a walk with your electrician before drywall.
Model unit first
On multi-unit work, one unit built end to end becomes the standard and the sales tool; the balance is priced per unit type.
Installs around your trades
Scheduled after paint and floor protection, by floor or by zone, with our own crew; nothing subcontracted.
Building paperwork
COIs, elevator bookings, method statements and condo or HOA approvals handled with the building.
Service after handover
The owner calls us, not you, for programming, adjustments and the remote that went missing.
Where we fit in your schedule
1. Bid and budget
Per-opening budgetary numbers from the plans, usually within days.
2. Design coordination
Pockets, power and control platform settled with the architect and the integrator; the schedule issued.
3. Framing walk
Pre-wire verified with your electrician against our guide; pocket dimensions checked before drywall.
4. Measure after paint
Every opening measured by us; fabric schedule approved; three-to-four-week fabrication.
5. Install and commission
After floor protection, by zone; motors programmed; owner walkthrough; punch list closed.
Frequently asked
When do you need to be on site?
Twice before finish: at design for pockets and power, and at framing for the pre-wire walk with your electrician. Then after paint for the measure, and for installation after the floors are protected. Our pre-wire guide is what we hand the crews.
What do you leave the electrician?
A per-opening schedule: motor type, voltage, where the power lands in the pocket, bus or low-voltage runs, panel locations and keypad boxes. Wired Somfy and Lutron systems need the power supply location agreed before drywall.
What if the pockets were framed before we called you?
It happens. We measure what exists, fit the largest system the pocket allows, and tell you in writing where a fascia or a surface mount will show. Blindspace boxes retrofit some conditions; some do not.
Do you carry insurance and handle building rules?
Yes: certificates of insurance, method statements, elevator bookings and condo or HOA paperwork, handled before the first day. We show up when the schedule says and leave the site clean.
How are builder programs priced?
Per opening from the plans, with a model-unit package first, then the balance per unit type in writing. The 10% trade discount applies to registered builders; volume terms are quoted per program.
Can you meet a punch-list date?
Our standard lead time is three to four weeks from the approved fabric schedule. Give us the date and we sequence the fabric approvals backward from it.
Get us in before drywall
Send the plans and the framing date. We walk the site with your electrician and leave the pocket dimensions on the wall.
