For AV & Smart-Home Integrators
You own the system, we own the shades. Per-opening load schedules, motors addressed and named for your programmer, Lutron, Crestron, Somfy SDN, Control4 and Savant, and pockets and power settled at framing. Certified on the platforms you install.
We speak your language
You do not want a drapery company guessing at bus topology, and we do not want an integrator guessing at fabric weight on a 36 ft track. The split that works: you own the system, we own the shades, and both sides get documentation they can build from. We are Lutron certified, Crestron certified, Somfy Expert and SDN Specialist, and the motors we install arrive addressed, limited and documented per opening.
The Ritz-Carlton Sunny Isles job put Lutron Sivoia QS under HomeWorks into a Crestron residence with the AV partner; Trump Tower III commissioned Crestron shades and a Crestron track into Control4; the Turks and Caicos villas run on Lutron myRoom.
The integrator package
Per-opening load schedule
Motor model, voltage, torque, current, power-supply and panel locations, bus topology, keypad counts, matched to the drawings.
Commissioned, named devices
Motors addressed, limits set, devices named to your convention, so the programmer scenes rather than troubleshoots.
Platform depth
Lutron Sivoia QS and Palladiom (wired and battery), Crestron QMT motors and tracks, Somfy SDN and RTS, with the Crestron and Somfy product libraries on the site.
Pockets and power at framing
Pocket dimensions and power locations settled with the GC before drywall, from the pre-wire guide.
Fabric and track engineering
Fabric weights against motor capacity, bend penalties on curved tracks, coupled shades beyond 144 in: the mechanical side handled before it becomes your problem.
A referral partner
We send lighting, audio and theater to integrators we trust and keep our hands on the shades.
Design through scene programming
1. Design
Treatments and platform per opening; the load schedule issued to your drawings.
2. Rough-in
Power, bus and pocket verified at framing with the GC and the electrician.
3. Installation
Motors addressed and limited, shades installed and tested standalone.
4. Commissioning
Devices handed to your programmer, named; scenes verified together; documentation left with both of us.
Frequently asked
Which control systems do you commission into?
Lutron HomeWorks, RA3 and myRoom, Crestron, Somfy SDN and RTS, Control4 and Savant. We are a Lutron certified dealer, Crestron certified, Somfy Expert and SDN Specialist; Savant is an integration partner, not a dealership.
Who owns the shades in the system?
You own the system; we own the shades. We supply motor, power and bus documentation per opening, address and commission the motors, verify limits and give your programmer named devices that scene cleanly. Your client, your control system, our treatments.
Can you give us the load schedule before rough-in?
Yes: motor model, voltage, torque, current draw, power-supply and panel locations, bus topology and keypad counts per opening, in a schedule that matches the drawings. Our motor communication guide and SDN guide are written for your side of the table.
Wired or battery?
Wired where the walls are open and the count is high; battery where retrofit power is impossible and the client accepts a recharge cycle. We write the trade-off per opening; see battery vs wired.
What if Lutron has to talk to another platform?
On jobs where a Lutron shading system has to integrate with another control platform, we work with our smart-home partner Adom Smart Home in Pompano Beach, or with your team, so the integration is owned by an integrator and the shades by us.
Do you refer shade work to integrators, and vice versa?
Yes. Clients ask us for lighting, audio and theater, and we send them to integrators we trust; integrators send us the shades, drapery and the pockets. The trade discount applies to registered integrators.
Send the drawings and the platform
A load schedule per opening and a motor plan your programmer will thank you for.
