Holland & Sherry Cheyenne
Wool jacquard, 5 colourways, 53% viscose, 44% wool, 3% nylon, 53 in wide. Holland & Sherry's own figures, and how we make it up as draperies in our Fort Lauderdale workroom, from the cloth your designer orders.
Wool jacquard, 53 in wide, in 5 colourways
Cheyenne is a wool jacquard from Holland & Sherry, in their Western Skies collection (53% viscose, 44% wool, 3% nylon, 53 in wide, made in the US). It comes in 5 colourways, Wind, Earth, Fire, Water and Night. Their spec sheet gives its end use as "Upholstery, drapery, wall upholstery, soft goods, and accessories".
The 53 in width runs up the roll, so panels are made of joined widths and the seams fall inside the pleats. Holland & Sherry's sheet gives the direction as up the roll. Holland & Sherry give the repeat as 3 in across, 2.88 in down; we match it across every seam and from window to window, which adds yardage and is figured into the order.
Viscose gives the lustre; it is lined for the sun and kept out of wet rooms. At 26 oz per linear yard (800 g per linear metre) it is a heavy cloth, so the track or rod is sized for the weight.
Their drapery note advises hanging the drapery before it is hemmed, so the cloth settles to the room, and lining every drapery, to block the light and protect the face.

What Cheyenne does at the window, and what it does not
Best use
Cheyenne is a heavy cloth, the kind that makes a drapery read as tailored: a study, a library, a dining room or a bedroom, pinch pleat or ripplefold on a track or rod sized for the weight, lined, often blackout-lined.
Light and privacy
An opaque cloth, so privacy is complete when it is closed. The lining sets the light: a light-filtering sateen keeps a room glowing, an interlining adds body and quiet, a blackout lining turns a bedroom dark (lining guide).
Cloth and care
53% viscose, 44% wool, 3% nylon; 26 oz per linear yard (800 g per linear metre); Martindale 40,000 rubs. Care, by Holland & Sherry's sheet: professional dry clean only.
Limitations
At 53 in a wide panel is made of joined widths, and the repeat is matched at every seam, which costs yardage. The weight needs a track or rod sized for it; a light decorative rod will bow. No NFPA 701 result in Holland & Sherry's data, so a condo common area or a commercial job that asks for it needs the cloth flame treated with a certificate, if Holland & Sherry can supply it that way, or another cloth.

How Cheyenne becomes draperies in your home
Your designer specifies
Holland & Sherry sell to the trade, so the cloth is chosen and ordered by your designer, with the colour code and the sample in hand. Not working with a designer? Tell us; we can suggest a cloth we order ourselves.
We measure and give the yardage
We measure the windows, settle the style, the fullness and the lining, and work out the yardage on the width and the repeat, so the order to Holland & Sherry is right the first time.
We make and install
The cloth comes to our Fort Lauderdale workroom, where our five in-house seamstresses cut and sew the draperies, and our own installers hang them on the rod, track or motorized system the window calls for.
Where Cheyenne works here
Cheyenne would be made up the way our draperies are: pinch pleat, Euro pleat or ripplefold, lined to the room, on a decorative rod, a hand-drawn track or a Lutron or Somfy motorized track, cut and sewn in our Fort Lauderdale workroom and installed by our own team from Miami to Palm Beach.
For the same use, compare Cheyenne with Rockslide (wool linen texture, 55 in, 6 colourways), Livingston (brushed alpaca wool, 57 in, 6 colourways) and Pioneer Plaid (wool plaid, 59 in, 5 colourways).

Cheyenne: frequently asked
How many colours does Holland & Sherry Cheyenne come in?
5 colourways on Holland & Sherry's site when we read it on October 7, 2026: Wind, Earth, Fire, Water and Night. Every one is listed on this page with its code; Holland & Sherry's photographs of each are on their own site, linked from the table.
Can I buy Cheyenne from you?
No. Holland & Sherry sell to the trade, so your designer orders the cloth from them. We make it up and install it: we measure and work out the yardage, the cloth is sent to our Fort Lauderdale workroom, and our seamstresses cut and sew the draperies.
Do you match the Cheyenne repeat?
Always. Holland & Sherry give the repeat as 3 in across, 2.88 in down; we match it at every seam and from window to window, so the yardage your designer orders is worked out on the repeat.
Does Cheyenne need a lining?
Holland & Sherry say every drapery should be lined, to block the light and protect the face, and we agree. The lining is chosen for the room: a light-filtering sateen for a living room, an interlining for body and quiet, a blackout lining for a bedroom (lining guide).
What does Cheyenne cost made up as draperies?
The cloth is bought through your designer at Holland & Sherry's price, so our quote covers what we make and install: the fabrication, the lining, the track or rod and the installation, worked out from the measure. Ask for a workroom price with the button above and we come back with a figure, not a range.
