A textured light-filtering honeycomb in six colours, chosen from the cloth
Soprano Translucent is a spun-lace polyester honeycomb from TOP Window Covering with a texture that reads in lines, 0.25 mm thick and 152 g/m2, in 25 mm and 32 mm cells with 38 mm and 45 mm on request. TOP's datasheet lists six colours: Glacier, Silver Birch, Taupe, Monument, Pewter and Caviar. It is for rooms where the shade is seen at close range and a plain, smooth cloth would look flat, and for tall windows that want one of the larger cells.
The catch is the swatches. TOP's collection page shows six pictures for Soprano Translucent with no colour names or item numbers, so we list the colours from the datasheet and do not guess which picture is which. The Soprano Blackout page pictures the same six names, which helps, but a laminated blackout is a different cloth, so the light-filtering sample is the one to approve. TOP publishes no light figures and no fire listings, and marks the fabric unsuitable for humid rooms.
What Soprano Translucent does on your glass, and what it does not
Best use
Living rooms, studies, dining rooms and bedroom sitting areas where the shade is seen up close and texture matters. Take the 25 mm cell on standard windows, the 32 mm on tall ones, and 38 mm or 45 mm on request for a double-height wall. Choose the colour from the cloth, not from a screen. If the specification needs light figures, choose another fabric.
Privacy
By day it hides the room; after dark a lit room glows through it and a person close to the shade shows as a shadow. With no figures published, the six colours cannot be ranked on paper, though the darker ones will show less. For night privacy in a bedroom, use Soprano Blackout in the same colour.
Glare control
No openness, so direct sun becomes an even glow across the pleats rather than a beam. TOP publishes no optical figures for Soprano Translucent, so for a monitor or a television wall we would pick a darker colour and check it at the window first. A low sun square on the glass still lights the whole shade.
Limitations
No light figures, no fire listings, and TOP marks it unsuitable for humid rooms, so not for a bathroom or a space a fire marshal reviews. The unnamed swatch pictures make ordering from a screen unreliable. If the shade has to go in a bathroom, Mogri Translucent is the textured honeycomb TOP rates for humid rooms.

How wide can a honeycomb shade in TOP Soprano Translucent be?
TOP makes Soprano Translucent in a 300 cm (118 in) roll. The roll width is the widest single piece we can cut, so one honeycomb shade can be made a little under 118 inches wide. Wider openings get two honeycomb shades side by side, set to move together, or a split placed where a mullion hides it. We confirm the exact limit for the operating system when we measure.
Which shades can be made in Soprano Translucent?
Soprano Translucent is a honeycomb shade fabric: the cells come formed in the fabric. We buy it from TOP Window Covering, cut it to the opening in our Fort Lauderdale workroom and build the shade cordless or motorized (Somfy Cord Lift WireFree in the headrail), and our own team installs it from Miami to Palm Beach.
