TOP Window Covering Fabrics
The complete TOP library, 730 colourways across 73 designs, with swatches and TOP's published specifications - made into shades in our own Fort Lauderdale workroom.
Every TOP fabric we make shades from, in one place
TOP Window Covering is a fabric house, not a shade brand. From Rotterdam, with warehouses in Florida, Arizona and Montreal, it sells roller, zebra, honeycomb and pleated fabric by the roll, and a workroom makes the shade. That is what we do with it. This library is the whole TOP range as we make it up: 730 colourways in 73 designs, each design on its own page with every swatch TOP pictures, the room photos TOP publishes, and the specification from TOP's datasheet: composition, roll width, thickness, weight, light and solar figures where TOP measures them, fire listings and what the fabric is free of.
The first decision is the shade, not the colour, so the library is organised the same way. Start with the page for the shade you want: roller shade fabrics in light-filtering, transparent and blackout weaves, Twinlight zebra fabrics, honeycomb fabrics, pleated fabrics, or the flame-retardant contract fabrics for hotels, condo common areas and offices. Then open a design for its numbers, shortlist the colours, and we bring the samples to the consultation.
TOP by the numbers
Five lines from one supplier
Roller, Twinlight zebra, honeycomb, pleated and flame-retardant contract fabrics all come from TOP, and several names run across lines: Orient comes as a light-filtering roller, a transparent roller, two blackouts, two pleated fabrics and two flame-retardant versions, while Trento, Perugia, Garda, Roma and Palermo each pair a lighter roller with a blackout.
Rolls up to 300 cm
TOP's rolls run 238 cm (about 94 in) for the pleated fabrics, 280 cm (110 in) for every Twinlight zebra fabric and up to 300 cm (118 in) for many roller, honeycomb and contract fabrics. The roll is the widest single piece a shade can be cut from, so it decides whether a wide opening is one shade or two.
Fire listings where they matter
Every contract design lists NFPA 701 on its TOP datasheet, each with California Title 19, CAN/ULC-S109, EN 13773 and DIN 4102 B1 beside it. Outside the contract line, Twinlight C-Screen and Mogri Translucent are the two fabrics with fire listings on their sheets.
PVC-free rollers
TOP's datasheets list every roller fabric in this library as PVC-free, and all but one as free of lead, halogens, formaldehyde and phthalates as well; many are also listed for humid rooms. The contract screens and blackouts are the exception: most of them carry PVC, as their datasheets state.
TOP sells the fabric, we make the shade
A TOP fabric reaches a window through a workroom. Ours is in Fort Lauderdale, and every shade made from these fabrics is cut, built and installed by our own team, so the choices that matter after the colour are ours to get right.
Buying fabric rather than finished shades lets us put the right cloth on the right system: a TOP blackout on a Lutron motor in one bedroom, a Twinlight zebra on Somfy in the living room, a honeycomb on a cordless headrail in the nursery. It also means we answer for the measurements, the hems, the edges and the programming, which is where most shade problems start.
TOP publishes a technical datasheet for most collections, and we read it before we quote: roll width, weight, fire listings, the humid-room rating and, where TOP measures them, the light and solar figures per colour. Where TOP publishes no datasheet for a collection, the design page says so and we choose from the sample.
Roller shades
Cut square from the roll, finished with a weighted hem bar and fitted to a Lutron, Somfy or Crestron motor or a manual chain. A blackout can run in side channels to close the light at the edges.
Zebra shades
One loop of Twinlight fabric runs down the front and back of the shade; a small movement slides the sheer bands over or behind the solid ones. Manual, or motorized on Lutron or Somfy.
Honeycomb shades
Cut to the opening and built cordless, or motorized with Somfy Cord Lift WireFree motors in the headrail. The cell size sets how deep the pleat looks from the room.
Pleated shades
One layer of 20 mm pleated fabric, built cordless or motorized like the honeycomb: a lighter, simpler shade that filters light but does not trap air the way a cell does.

TOP fabrics: frequently asked
Who is TOP Window Covering?
TOP Window Covering Group is a fabric supplier based in Rotterdam, with warehouses in Florida, Arizona and Montreal. It sells roller, Twinlight zebra, honeycomb, pleated and flame-retardant fabrics to workrooms and publishes a technical datasheet for most collections. We buy the fabric and make the shades ourselves in Fort Lauderdale.
What is the difference between TOP's translucent, transparent and blackout fabrics?
Transparent weaves keep a softened view by day and hide nothing at night with the lights on. Translucent, which we call light-filtering, hides the room by day and lets daylight through evenly, showing a glow and shapes after dark. Blackout stops the light through the cloth; on a roller shade light still passes at the sides unless side channels are used.
Which TOP fabrics are flame retardant?
The designs on the FR contract page all list NFPA 701 on their TOP datasheets, with California Title 19, CAN/ULC-S109 and European listings too. Outside that line, Twinlight C-Screen and Mogri Translucent list fire ratings. Each design page shows exactly what its datasheet lists, and we send the datasheet with the quote.
Can TOP fabric go on a motorized shade?
Yes. We make TOP roller shades on Lutron, Somfy or Crestron motors, zebra shades on Lutron or Somfy, and honeycomb and pleated shades with Somfy Cord Lift WireFree motors in the headrail, or manual and cordless where a motor is not wanted. See motorized shades.
Are the room photos on these pages your installations?
No. The room photos are TOP Window Covering's own photography, credited on every page, and they show the fabric the way TOP presents it. The swatch pictures are TOP's too. Our own installations are the projects described elsewhere on this site.
Can I see the fabric before ordering?
Yes. Shortlist colours on any design page and we bring TOP samples of them to the in-home consultation, so you see each one against your own glass in your own light. Both showrooms, 4539 Powerline Rd in Fort Lauderdale (by appointment) and 500 South Pointe Dr #150 in Miami Beach, have motorized shades running.
Where TOP fabrics fit in South Florida
On a South Florida window the TOP library covers the jobs we are asked for most: light-filtering rollers for living rooms that want daylight without the street, white- or colour-backed blackouts for bedrooms and media rooms, Twinlight zebra shades where a client wants to dial privacy without a second shade, honeycomb in bedrooms and on hot west glass, and the flame-retardant screens and blackouts for condo common areas, hotels and offices that need a listing in writing. Where a view room needs a solar screen, the contract line gives 1%, 3% and 5%, and our Lutron, Phifer and Mermet libraries add more.
Discerning homeowners, designers, and developers across South Florida trust Exotic with their most important spaces.
“We had roller shades before, but too much light was still coming in from both sides. Exotic Shades & Draperies recommended adding motorized blackout drapes with Sonfy motor, and it was the perfect solution. They made the drapes wide enough so they could fully clear the window when opens. Very happy with the recommendation, the installation and the final result!!”
“Alexandre was great to work with super responsive and kept us updated throughout the process. Our custom blackout shades for the master bedroom came out perfect. David handled the installation and did an outstanding job quick, clean, and professional. We’re thrilled with how everything turned out. The shades look amazing and the service was top-notch from start to finish!!”
“Beautiful blackout Roman shades for bedroom. Exactly what we wanted. Alexander helped us choose the fabric install was quick and clean. The room is pitch black now, love it. Highly recommend Exotic shades.”
Control systems these shades answer to
Every motorized system we install runs from a remote, an app or the home's control system. Which one depends on the motor family, so we settle it before the shade is made.
Lutron
Sivoia QS, Triathlon, Serena and Palladiom shades: Pico remotes and the Lutron app, with native integration to Crestron, Control4, Savant, Apple Home, Amazon Alexa and Google Home through Caseta, RadioRA 3 or HomeWorks. Lutron motorized shades.
Somfy
Sonesse, Glydea and WireFree motors on Somfy RTS or Zigbee: Telis and Situo remotes, the TaHoma app for scenes and schedules, Amazon Alexa and Google Home through TaHoma, and Control4, Crestron and Savant through the TaHoma integration. Somfy motorization.
Crestron
Crestron shade motors and drapery tracks commissioned into the home's Crestron processor and keypads with your integrator, with the fabric, hems and hembars still made in our workroom. Crestron shades.
