A light-filtering pleat in twelve colours named to match the Trento roller fabrics
Trento Pleated is a light-filtering pleated shade fabric from TOP Window Covering: polyester with an acrylic coating, 190 g/m2, folded into a 20 mm pleat and sold on a 238 cm roll (93.7 inches). Made up, it is one layer of folded cloth that hides the room and spreads the daylight evenly. Its twelve colours carry the names of TOP's Trento roller fabrics, from Ice White, White and Cream through Moonstruck and Kemp to Mouse Gray, Dark Gray and Anthracite, which lets one colour name run across rollers and pleated shades in the same house.
The figures split the card. Cream, White, Nougat and Ice White pass 34 to 36 percent of the visible light, so the room stays bright, and Cream and Ice White reflect 59 percent of the sun's energy. Anthracite at Tv 3, Dark Gray at 6 and Mouse Gray at 8 make a room dim and even, but Dark Gray absorbs 69 percent of the solar energy and warms up at the glass. Olive, Kemp and Moonstruck, at 22 to 28, give soft daylight in between. TOP lists the fabric for humid rooms.

Best use
Bathrooms, home offices, guest rooms, kitchens and hallways, especially in a house that already runs Trento rollers. Cream, White or Ice White where the window takes sun or the room should stay bright; Olive, Kemp or Moonstruck for soft daylight; Anthracite or Mouse Gray for a dim room by day. In a house with Trento rollers already up, this is the pleat to choose.
Privacy
By day it hides the room in every colour. After dark, with lights on, the shade glows and a person near it shows as a silhouette, least through Anthracite and Dark Gray, and light also shows at the cord holes in each pleat. For a bedroom or a bathroom on a walkway, a blackout honeycomb gives the night privacy this cloth cannot.
Glare control
A light-filtering pleat turns direct sun into an even glow with no sun disc. Anthracite, Dark Gray and Mouse Gray, at Tv 3 to 8, keep a monitor readable through the afternoon. The pale colours become a bright panel on a sunny window and leave a television fighting the light, so choose the colour by the screen in the room.
Limitations
No colour here is a blackout, and the cord holes leak light even in Anthracite. A single folded layer holds no insulating air, so it shades a hot window without slowing heat through it, and Dark Gray holds most of the sun's energy at the glass. TOP lists no fire rating. For a dark bedroom or a hot west room, choose a TOP honeycomb.
