A textured light-filtering cloth in ten colours, with a zebra twin to match
Swing Translucent is a textured light-filtering roller fabric from TOP Window Covering: 100% polyester with a heat-set finish, 0.38 mm thick and 210 g/m2, on a 280 cm roll (110 inches). The weave gives the shade a visible grain, so it reads as cloth rather than a flat panel. Its ten colours pair six neutrals, White, Ivory, Champagne, Dune, Gray and Pure Chocolate, with Olive, Petrol, Purple and Misty Blue. It suits a designer who wants a textured shade in a colour that is not beige.
TOP publishes no light or solar figures for Swing, so the decision rests on samples and on what the light class means. As a light-filtering cloth it hides the room by day, turns direct sun into an even glow and keeps no view. The colour matters more than usual, because a coloured cloth tints the light it passes: Purple or Petrol will colour a white room in the afternoon, which some rooms want and others do not. The neutrals keep the light closer to white.
What Swing Translucent does on your glass, and what it does not
Best use
Studies, guest rooms, family rooms and children's rooms on north or east windows, where a coloured, textured shade adds to the room. Take the strong colours only where the sun is indirect, and choose from the neutrals on sunny glass. If you need published figures or a humid rating to choose by, Trento Translucent has both; for texture and colour, Swing is the one.
Privacy
By day it hides the room in every colour. After dark, with lamps on, it glows and shows the shadow of anyone near it; Pure Chocolate and Gray should give less away than White and Ivory, though TOP publishes no figures to say by how much. For a bedroom, put a blackout behind it on a dual roller.
Glare control
With no transmission figures from TOP, read it by its class: there is no view through the cloth, so direct sun arrives as an even glow and a laptop stays usable. The pale colours make a bright panel behind a television; the deeper ones keep it calmer and tint the light. When a low sun lines up with the window, the whole shade lights up.
Limitations
It gives no view and no darkness, and TOP's datasheet lists no fire rating, no humid rating and no optical figures, which rules it out for a hotel, a bathroom or a buyer who needs numbers on paper. Its modest light-fastness keeps the strong colours out of hard sun. For a bathroom, take Orient (XXL), which TOP lists for humid rooms.

In South Florida we would use Swing on north and east windows, in a study, a guest room or a family room where the shade is meant to be noticed, and keep White, Ivory, Champagne or Dune for glass that takes the afternoon sun. We make it up in our Fort Lauderdale workroom on a Lutron, Somfy or Crestron motor or a chain.
Twinlight Swing carries the same ten colours on a zebra shade with sheer bands that open to the view; this roller cloth is light-filtering from head to hem, so it suits rooms that should not show the outside.

Will Purple or Petrol fade on a sunny window?
They are the colours to watch. TOP rates Swing's light-fastness above 4 on DIN ISO 105-B02, lower than most of its light-filtering rollers, and a change in a strong colour shows sooner than in a pale one. On an unshaded west or south window take White, Ivory, Champagne or Dune; keep Purple, Petrol, Misty Blue and Olive for north light or a window under an overhang.
How wide can a roller shade in TOP Swing Translucent be?
TOP makes Swing Translucent in a 280 cm (110 in) roll. The roll width is the widest single piece we can cut, so one roller shade can be made a little under 110 inches wide. Wider openings get two roller shades side by side, set to move together, or a split placed where a mullion hides it. We confirm the exact limit for the operating system when we measure.

We buy it from TOP Window Covering by the roll and make the shades ourselves in our Fort Lauderdale workroom: cut square, finished with a weighted hem bar and fitted to a Lutron, Somfy or Crestron motor or a manual chain, then installed by our own team from Miami to Palm Beach.
