TOP Twinlight Salsa Fabric

A light, wide-striped zebra for living rooms, chosen by colour rather than figures
Twinlight Salsa is a 100% polyester zebra fabric from TOP Window Covering with wide stripes: a 7 cm sheer band and a 10 cm solid band, about 2.75 and 4 inches. It is a light cloth, 0.35 mm thick and 140 g/m2. The six colours are White, Beige, Gray, Dark Brown, Anthracite and Reef. On the window it reads as broad horizontal bars with the bands aligned and as a near-continuous surface with the bands offset.
TOP publishes no datasheet for Salsa, so there are no light or heat figures and no fire listings to quote, and that shapes how we specify it. We treat the solid band as light-filtering until a sample held against the actual window shows otherwise, and we do not promise a dark room with the bands offset. Pick it for the stripe and the colours in a living room, dining room or study; where darkness, heat or a fire review is part of the brief, take a Twinlight design with published figures.
What Twinlight Salsa does on your glass, and what it does not
Best use
Living rooms, dining rooms, studies and guest rooms on north, east or shaded glass, where the wide stripe and the colours are the reason to choose it. White or Beige keeps a room bright; Anthracite or Dark Brown dims it more and takes more heat into the cloth. Decision: Salsa for the look on an easy window, a design with published figures for bedrooms and hard west sun.
Privacy
Offset, the solid band hides the room by day. After dark we plan on light-filtering behavior: people near a lit lamp may show as silhouettes, and with the bands aligned the sheer stripes show the room outright. For a bedroom or a ground-floor room on a street, choose a zebra with an opaque solid band or add a blackout shade.
Glare control
With no figures from TOP, the light class is the guide. Offset, the solid band softens direct sun; a pale colour will reduce glare rather than remove it, and a TV facing the window may still wash out. Aligned, the sheer stripes let the sun through in bars, and a low sun in line with the window comes straight in.
Limitations
Do not choose Salsa for a bedroom that must be dark, a west media room, or a hotel or condo common area that asks for fire listings: with no datasheet, none of that can be documented. Six colours is a short card as well. For a fire-listed zebra, see Twinlight C-Screen.

Where Twinlight Salsa works here
Salsa suits the rooms where South Florida light is easy: a north-facing living room, a dining room off a covered terrace, a study or a guest room that does not need to go dark. We would not put it on unshaded west glass without figures to show what it does with the afternoon sun. We make it up in our Fort Lauderdale workroom and motorize it on Lutron or Somfy like our other zebra shades.
Twinlight Dixie XL has the same 7 cm and 10 cm bands at the same 0.35 mm and 140 g/m2, and comes with a datasheet and published light figures, which makes it the one to choose when the numbers matter.
Twinlight Salsa: frequently asked
How dark does Salsa get with the bands offset?
We cannot give a number, because TOP publishes no datasheet or light figures for it. At the consultation we hold the sample's solid band against the brightest light your room gets, which is the honest test. If the room has to go near-dark, Twinlight Samba has a similar wide stripe and a solid band TOP measures as passing no visible light.
How wide can a zebra shade in TOP Twinlight Salsa be?
TOP makes Twinlight Salsa in a 280 cm (110.2 in) roll. The roll width is the widest single piece we can cut, so one zebra shade can be made a little under 110.2 inches wide. Wider openings get two zebra shades side by side, set to move together, or a split placed where a mullion hides it. We confirm the exact limit for the operating system when we measure.
Which shades can be made in Twinlight Salsa?
Twinlight Salsa is a zebra shade fabric: one continuous loop of fabric with alternating sheer and solid bands. We buy it from TOP Window Covering and make the zebra shades in our Fort Lauderdale workroom, on a manual chain or motorized on Lutron or Somfy, and our own team installs them from Miami to Palm Beach.
Can I see Twinlight Salsa samples before ordering?
Yes. Shortlist the colours here and we bring TOP samples of them to the in-home consultation, so you can hold them against your own glass in your own light. Our Fort Lauderdale workroom (4539 Powerline Rd, by appointment) and Miami Beach showroom (500 South Pointe Dr #150) have motorized shades running if you want to see one move.
