TOP Twinlight Linen Fabric
5 colourways, zebra: 5 cm sheer bands and 7.5 cm solid bands (2 in and 3 in), 280 cm roll. TOP Window Covering fabric, made into zebra shades in our Fort Lauderdale workroom and installed from Miami to Palm Beach.
A linen-blend zebra for studies, dining rooms and guest rooms that want soft light
Twinlight Linen is the one zebra fabric from TOP Window Covering in our library with natural fiber in it: 85% polyester and 15% linen, 0.49 mm thick and 160 g/m2. It runs the finer Twinlight stripe, a 5 cm sheer band and a 7.5 cm solid band, about 2 and 3 inches, which reads quieter on the window than the wide-band designs. The five colours are White, Ivory, Sand, Gray and Dark Gray. It is for studies, dining rooms, living rooms and guest bedrooms where a natural fiber suits the interior and the room does not need to go dark.
White and Dark Gray mark the two ends. With the bands offset, White passes 15.8% of visible light through the solid band and reflects 69.7% of the sun's energy, so the room stays softly lit while most of the heat goes back out through the glass. Dark Gray passes 2.4%, a dim and even light, and Sand sits between at 9%. Aligned, the sheer stripe passes 89.1% in White, close to clear. The trade-off is a short card of five colours and no setting that makes a room dark.
What Twinlight Linen does on your glass, and what it does not
Best use
Studies, dining rooms, living rooms and guest bedrooms on east, north or shaded glass, where a natural fiber suits the interior and dim is enough. White or Ivory for a room that takes sun, Sand for the middle, Gray or Dark Gray for a dark interior or a TV wall. Decision: Linen when the fiber matters; a polyester Twinlight when you need more colours or a darker solid band.
Privacy
Offset, every colour hides the room by day. After dark the solid band behaves like a light-filtering fabric: Dark Gray, at 2.4%, gives good cover, while White, at 15.8%, shows the shapes of people near a lamp. Aligned, the open stripes give no privacy at night. For a street-facing bedroom, a dual roller with a blackout fabric behind does what this fabric cannot.
Glare control
Offset in Dark Gray, direct sun becomes a dim, even light and a screen facing the window stays readable. Sand at 9% and White at 15.8% turn it into soft daylight, enough to leave a TV washed out with the sun behind it. Aligned, the sheer stripes pass most of the light, so a low sun in line with the window comes straight through in bars.
Limitations
Do not choose Linen for a bedroom that must be dark or a room under a fire review: the darkest colour still passes 2.4% of the light through the solid band, and TOP lists no fire ratings for it. Five colours is a short card. For a zebra whose solid band blacks out, look at Twinlight Samba.

Every Twinlight Linen colourway, with TOP's published figures
Tv = visible light transmitted, Ts = solar energy transmitted, Rs = solar energy reflected, As = solar energy absorbed, Tuv = UV transmitted, in percent for the fabric alone, as published on TOP's datasheet; a dash means TOP publishes no figure for that colour. On the Twinlight sheets the main row is the solid band and the sheer-band columns are TOP's figures for the open stripe. We bring TOP samples of the colours you shortlist to the consultation.
Where Twinlight Linen works here
Linen suits the quieter rooms of a South Florida house: a study, a dining room with wood and stone finishes, a guest room where dim is enough. On the sunny side we would take White or Ivory, which send heat back out; Gray and Dark Gray belong in a shaded room or one with a TV. We make it up in our Fort Lauderdale workroom and motorize it on Lutron or Somfy.
Twinlight Blues has the same 5 cm and 7.5 cm bands and a similar spread from bright to dim in all-polyester with nine colours; Twinlight Linen is the one to choose when natural fiber is the point.
Twinlight Linen: frequently asked
Is it real linen?
Partly. TOP's datasheet gives the composition as 85% polyester and 15% linen, so linen is part of the fiber itself. It cleans with a damp cloth like the polyester Twinlight designs. TOP gives it no rating for humid rooms, and with natural fiber in it we keep it out of bathrooms and pool rooms.
Will the sheer bands let people see in at night?
Yes, with the bands aligned: in White the sheer stripe passes 89.1% of visible light, so a lit room is plain to see through it. Offset the bands at dusk. Even then the solid band is light-filtering, so people close to a lamp can show as silhouettes, most of all in White; for a street-facing bedroom, plan a blackout layer as well.
How wide can a zebra shade in TOP Twinlight Linen be?
TOP makes Twinlight Linen in a 280 cm (110 in) roll. The roll width is the widest single piece we can cut, so one zebra shade can be made a little under 110 inches wide. Wider openings get two zebra shades side by side, set to move together, or a split placed where a mullion hides it. We confirm the exact limit for the operating system when we measure.
Which shades can be made in Twinlight Linen?
Twinlight Linen is a zebra shade fabric: one continuous loop of fabric with alternating sheer and solid bands. We buy it from TOP Window Covering and make the zebra shades in our Fort Lauderdale workroom, on a manual chain or motorized on Lutron or Somfy, and our own team installs them from Miami to Palm Beach.
Can I see Twinlight Linen samples before ordering?
Yes. Shortlist the colours here and we bring TOP samples of them to the in-home consultation, so you can hold them against your own glass in your own light. Our Fort Lauderdale workroom (4539 Powerline Rd, by appointment) and Miami Beach showroom (500 South Pointe Dr #150) have motorized shades running if you want to see one move.
