TOP Twinlight Reve Fabric
5 colourways, zebra: 5 cm sheer bands and 7.5 cm solid bands (2 in and 3 in), 280 cm roll. TOP Window Covering fabric, made into zebra shades in our Fort Lauderdale workroom and installed from Miami to Palm Beach.
A light zebra whose colour sets the room, from a bright White to a dim Chocolate
Twinlight Reve is a 100% polyester zebra fabric from TOP Window Covering, a light cloth at 110 g/m2 and 0.41 mm with the finer Twinlight stripe: a 5 cm sheer band and a 7.5 cm solid band, about 2 and 3 inches. The design also exists in TOP's roller range as Reve Transparent, under the same five colour names: White, Light Beige, Gray, Brown and Chocolate. It is for living rooms, family rooms and media rooms where the colour you choose decides how bright the room is.
No other choice changes this fabric as much as colour. With the bands offset, the solid band passes 37% of visible light in White, 14.3% in Gray and 2.5% in Chocolate: a bright room with the glare taken down, soft daylight, or a dim, even light. White reflects 58.1% of the sun's energy; Chocolate reflects 9.1% and absorbs 87%, so it warms at the glass. Aligned, the sheer stripe passes 88.5% in White. The trade-off sits in the pale colours, which let a lot of sun through even with the bands offset: 39% of the solar energy in White.
What Twinlight Reve does on your glass, and what it does not
Best use
Living rooms, kitchens and family rooms in White or Light Beige where daylight is welcome; Gray for a room with some sun and a TV; Chocolate for a media room or a bedroom that wants dim rather than dark. Keep the pale colours off hard west glass, where they pass light and heat. Decision: choose Reve by colour first, and if no colour suits the room, change design.
Privacy
Offset, every colour hides the room by day. After dark, White passes 37% of the light through the solid band, so people near a lamp show plainly as silhouettes; Chocolate, at 2.5%, gives good cover. Aligned, the sheer stripes show a lit room in any colour. For a street-facing bedroom, choose Chocolate or put a blackout shade behind it.
Glare control
In Chocolate the offset shade turns direct sun into a dim, even light that leaves a TV readable. Gray, at 14.3%, gives soft daylight that can still trouble a screen facing the window. White, at 37%, takes the edge off the sun and no more. Aligned, the sheer stripes pass 88.5% in White, and a low sun in line with the window comes straight through.
Limitations
Do not choose White or Light Beige for a hot west room or a bedroom: the White solid band lets through 37% of the light and 39% of the sun's energy. TOP rates its colour fastness to light at 4 to 5 on DIN ISO 105-B02, low for the line, and lists no fire ratings. For a zebra that goes near-dark, look at Twinlight Samba.

Every Twinlight Reve colourway, with TOP's published figures
Tv = visible light transmitted, Ts = solar energy transmitted, Rs = solar energy reflected, As = solar energy absorbed, Tuv = UV transmitted, in percent for the fabric alone, as published on TOP's datasheet; a dash means TOP publishes no figure for that colour. On the Twinlight sheets the main row is the solid band and the sheer-band columns are TOP's figures for the open stripe. We bring TOP samples of the colours you shortlist to the consultation.
Where Twinlight Reve works here
Reve is a colour-led choice here. White suits a north room or a shaded one where daylight is short; Gray works in a family room or a kitchen with some sun; Chocolate suits a media room, or a bedroom on shaded glass that wants dim rather than dark. On hot west glass none of the five is our first choice: the pale colours let the sun through and Chocolate takes its heat. Motorized, it runs on Lutron or Somfy.
TOP's Reve Transparent is the roller version under the same five colour names, but TOP classes it as transparent and publishes no light figures for it, where the Twinlight weave publishes a solid band from 2.5% to 37%.
Twinlight Reve: frequently asked
Is Reve dark enough for a bedroom?
Only in Chocolate, and only if dim is enough. Its solid band passes 2.5% of visible light, so with the bands offset the room goes dim, with brighter light at the stripe edges and sides. White passes 37% and Gray 14.3%, which is daylight, not sleep. For a bedroom zebra that goes near-dark, Twinlight Twist publishes at or near zero.
How much UV gets through?
TOP publishes 1.8% to 32% UV transmission through the solid band across the colours it measured, and with the bands aligned the sheer stripes are open. That slows fading on floors and furniture without stopping it. Where art or a wood floor sits in direct sun, choose a fabric that publishes near-zero UV.
How wide can a zebra shade in TOP Twinlight Reve be?
TOP makes Twinlight Reve in a 280 cm (110 in) roll. The roll width is the widest single piece we can cut, so one zebra shade can be made a little under 110 inches wide. Wider openings get two zebra shades side by side, set to move together, or a split placed where a mullion hides it. We confirm the exact limit for the operating system when we measure.
Which shades can be made in Twinlight Reve?
Twinlight Reve is a zebra shade fabric: one continuous loop of fabric with alternating sheer and solid bands. We buy it from TOP Window Covering and make the zebra shades in our Fort Lauderdale workroom, on a manual chain or motorized on Lutron or Somfy, and our own team installs them from Miami to Palm Beach.
Can I see Twinlight Reve samples before ordering?
Yes. Shortlist the colours here and we bring TOP samples of them to the in-home consultation, so you can hold them against your own glass in your own light. Our Fort Lauderdale workroom (4539 Powerline Rd, by appointment) and Miami Beach showroom (500 South Pointe Dr #150) have motorized shades running if you want to see one move.
