TOP Verona Plus Fabric
13 colourways, light-filtering, 240 cm roll. TOP Window Covering fabric, made into roller shades in our Fort Lauderdale workroom and installed from Miami to Palm Beach.
Thirteen washed colours, from whites that pass nearly half the light to a dim Anthracite
Verona Plus is a light-filtering roller fabric from TOP Window Covering in thirteen colours with a washed, slightly uneven tone. It is a thin, light cloth, 0.32 mm and 160 g/m2, in 100% polyester with an acrylic coating, on a 240 cm roll (94.5 inches). The card runs from White, Off White and Old White through Pebble, Sand, Light Sand and Cream to Light Gray, Gray, Nougat, Denim, Mahogany and Anthracite. On the window the pale colours read as a bright, softened panel and the deep ones as a calm, low light. It suits relaxed living rooms, dining rooms and guest rooms where daylight matters more than shade.
The figures make the choice. White and Off White pass 46.4% of the visible light and about as much of the sun's energy, so they brighten a room and do little for heat. Pebble, Old White, Light Gray and Sand, from 25.7% to 36.7%, soften it more, and Denim sits at 20.2%. Gray and Nougat, at 14.4% and 13%, give a low daylight. Anthracite passes 1.1% of the light and 2.6% of the energy but absorbs 89.7%, so it dims a room and runs hot at the glass. The trade-offs: TOP does not list Verona Plus for humid rooms, and its whites manage light rather than heat.
What Verona Plus does on your glass, and what it does not
Best use
Living rooms, dining rooms, guest rooms and home offices where daylight is the point and the outside only needs softening. White or Off White where every bit of light counts, Sand, Pebble or Light Gray where the sun reaches the glass, Gray or Nougat for a lower light, Anthracite for a television. If the room is a bathroom or faces hard west sun, choose another cloth.
Privacy
By day nobody sees in, whatever the colour, and from inside the whites show the outside only as soft shapes. At night the lit room glows through the cloth and casts shadows on it; a pale Verona Plus shows them clearly and Anthracite gives away the least. For a bedroom or a street-facing room, a second, blackout layer is the answer: see blackout shades.
Glare control
The whites reduce glare without removing it: at 46.4% visible transmission the window stays bright and a television facing it will wash out in the afternoon. Sand and Light Gray, at about a quarter, are the practical choice for a home office. Gray, Nougat and Anthracite turn the window into a low, even light. A low sun in line with the window still lights the whole shade.
Limitations
TOP does not list Verona Plus for humid rooms, so it stays out of bathrooms and laundry rooms. It keeps no view and gives no darkness, and its whites pass almost half the sun's energy, so it is not a heat answer on west glass. The roll is 240 cm (94.5 inches), so a wider opening takes two shades. For a bathroom, take Trento Translucent.

Every Verona Plus colourway, with TOP's published figures
Tv = visible light transmitted, Ts = solar energy transmitted, Rs = solar energy reflected, As = solar energy absorbed, Tuv = UV transmitted, in percent for the fabric alone, as published on TOP's datasheet; a dash means TOP publishes no figure for that colour. We bring TOP samples of the colours you shortlist to the consultation.
Where Verona Plus works here
In South Florida, Verona Plus belongs on the gentler elevations: north and east windows, rooms under a deep overhang or a covered balcony, a guest room or a dining room that wants to keep its light. We would not put it in White on unshaded west glass, and we keep it out of the baths. Each shade is made in our Fort Lauderdale workroom on a Lutron, Somfy or Crestron motor or a chain, and installed by our own team.
Trento Translucent is the nearest alternative, a similar run of neutrals on a wider roll that TOP lists for humid rooms; Verona Plus is the thinner cloth, and its White and Off White let in more daylight than any Trento colour.
Verona Plus: frequently asked
Why do three of the thirteen colours have no figures?
TOP shows thirteen colours on its Verona Plus page, but its datasheet gives light and solar figures for ten. Mahogany, Light Sand and Cream are the three without. They are colourways of the same cloth; what is missing is the measurement. If one of them is your colour, judge it from a sample held to your own window, at the time of day the room is used.
Is Verona Plus dark enough for a bedroom?
Only in Anthracite, and only if some light is acceptable. Anthracite passes 1.1% of the visible light, which makes a dim room, but a roller still lets light in down both sides. Every other colour with published figures passes 13% or more, which is a daylight room. For sleep, pair it with a blackout on a dual roller.
How wide can a roller shade in TOP Verona Plus be?
TOP makes Verona Plus in a 240 cm (94.5 in) roll. The roll width is the widest single piece we can cut, so one roller shade can be made a little under 94.5 inches wide. Wider openings get two roller shades side by side, set to move together, or a split placed where a mullion hides it. We confirm the exact limit for the operating system when we measure.
Which shades can be made in Verona Plus?
Verona Plus is a roller shade fabric. We buy it from TOP Window Covering by the roll and make the shades ourselves in our Fort Lauderdale workroom: cut square, finished with a weighted hem bar and fitted to a Lutron, Somfy or Crestron motor or a manual chain, then installed by our own team from Miami to Palm Beach.
Can I see Verona Plus samples before ordering?
Yes. Shortlist the colours here and we bring TOP samples of them to the in-home consultation, so you can hold them against your own glass in your own light. Our Fort Lauderdale workroom (4539 Powerline Rd, by appointment) and Miami Beach showroom (500 South Pointe Dr #150) have motorized shades running if you want to see one move.
