Crestron Nava Fabric
14 colourways, blackout / light filtering, openness <1%, Crestron Tier 1/2. Every swatch and every figure Crestron publishes, from the Crestron-certified team in Fort Lauderdale that specifies and installs Crestron shades from Miami to Palm Beach.
Seven colours, each as a light-filtering weave and a blackout, on a 98-inch rollTier 1Tier 2
Nava is the shortest of the paired Coulisse cards: seven colours, Star White, Bright White, Moonbeam, Moon Mist, Oyster Grey, Jet Set and Black Coffee. Every one is offered as a light-filtering weave with an openness factor under 1%, which diffuses the daylight and takes away the view in both directions, and as a blackout under the same name. Both are 100% polyester, 98 inches on the roll, and Crestron will seam Nava but not railroad it. The light-filtering rows sit in Tier 1 and the blackout rows in Tier 2 of the budget grid on this page, the same split as Bella.
The blackout Nava is dual sided, so the face against the glass matches the face in the room, and the light-filtering weave is single faced. The pairing is what makes a short card useful: one colour, two jobs. In a bedroom the light-filtering Nava in front on a dual roller gives the daytime setting and the blackout Nava behind it gives the night; in a bath or a study the light-filtering weave goes in alone; in a nursery the blackout goes in alone. Because the roll is 98 inches and the fabric is not railroaded, a slider wider than that takes a seam at a mullion or two shades on one line.
Woven by Coulisse.
What Nava does on your glass, and what it does not
Best use
The blackout Nava sits a tier above the light-filtering weave, so spend it where a room has to be dark. Bedrooms get the pair, one colour name on both tubes of a dual roller, and a media room gets the blackout by itself, in side channels. A living room, a study or a bath that looks at the next building needs daylight and cover, which the light-filtering Nava gives alone.
Privacy
The light-filtering Nava keeps a room private for as long as it is brighter outside than in. At dusk that reverses, and a lit room shows its outlines through the cloth, so the blackout has to come down at night wherever a neighbour can look in. The blackout Nava shows nothing at any hour; after dark only the gaps at its edges glow, and side channels close them.
Glare control
With the sun on it, the light-filtering Nava lights up edge to edge: soft for a bath or a stair, too bright behind a television or across from a desk screen. Black Coffee keeps that panel quieter than Star White or Bright White, a difference we show on your glass, since Crestron publishes no Tv for Nava. Where a screen faces the window, the blackout is the fabric.
Limitations
Neither weave gives a view out, so Nava stays off glass that faces the water, and a bedroom in the light-filtering weave alone is bright by six in the morning. Crestron's guide lists neither weave as fire retardant, so where a condo association asks for a listing, the light-filtering answer is Ella, with Cosima as its blackout.

Where Nava works here
Nava is what we suggest for the bedroom floor of a Miami Beach or Aventura condo where the windows face the next building rather than the sea: an 8 ft bedroom window in one drop, blackout behind, light-filtering in front, on a Crestron dual bracket in a ceiling pocket. It also answers the corridor-side rooms of a Fort Lauderdale townhouse, where the glass looks at a wall a few feet away and the point of the shade is light without a sightline. The ocean-facing rooms get a solar screen; Nava stays behind them.
Nava is the seven-colour Coulisse pair on a 98-inch roll with a dual-sided blackout; Bella shares the width with eleven colours and railroads, Mika is 116 inches wide with both weaves in Tier 1, and Merinda is the 118-inch pair with the Half-Wrap hembar.
Nava: frequently asked
Which Nava weave goes in front on a dual roller?
The light-filtering Nava in front, on the room side, and the blackout behind it at the glass, so the daytime layer is the one the room sees and the blackout drops behind it at night. Both share a colour name, so from the room the two read as one fabric. Crestron builds dual shades on one bracket, and the pocket for a dual shade is larger than for a single, which we confirm with the ceiling trades before the drywall closes.
Is Nava a good nursery fabric?
The blackout Nava is, for the sleep, and the light-filtering Nava is, for the day, and the two can share one bracket. Crestron lists Nava as OEKO-TEX certified, PVC free and lead free, and it cleans with a damp cloth. A nursery on a ground floor or facing a terrace should have the blackout down at night, since a light-filtering weave shows shapes when the room is lit, and side channels if the child has to sleep past sunrise.

How wide can a Crestron shade in Nava be?
Crestron lists a usable roll width of 98 inches for Nava; it is not railroaded, so an opening wider than the roll takes two shades side by side, coupled on one bracket with the light gap set at a mullion. We confirm the limit for the chosen hardware when we measure.
