Crestron SheerWeave 7450 Fabric
8 colourways, light filtering, openness 1%, Crestron Tier 2. Every swatch and every figure Crestron publishes, from the Crestron-certified team in Fort Lauderdale that specifies and installs Crestron shades from Miami to Palm Beach.
The light-filtering weave with a blackout twin in every colourTier 2
SheerWeave 7450 is Phifer's light-filtering weave in Crestron's Designer Collection: 100% polyester with an acrylic coating, woven at 1% openness, 116 inches wide, Tier 2. It does what Crestron's light-filtering category describes, diffused daylight through the cloth with the outside reduced to shapes and shadow, which makes it the fabric for glass that has nothing to show: the bathroom window that faces the next house, a bedroom on the street side, a stair or landing light. Phifer's own figures for the weave are on our Phifer SheerWeave 7400/7450R page; Crestron stocks these eight colourways of it for its shades.
The card is eight colourways in Crestron's code order: Cotton, Parchment, Sesame, Pebble, Shale, Seagrass, Spice and Flint, and every one has a blackout twin of the same name in SheerWeave 7400, the codes running 74P01 to 74P08 with an LF suffix here and 00 on the blackout. That pairing is how we use it: one colour by day in 7450, the same colour by night in 7400, on one dual bracket with each cloth on its own tube. Crestron lists all four hembars for 7450, the Designer Half-Wrap among them, and files it in the Designer book beside the Coulisse cloths rather than in the Heritage book with the SheerWeave solar screens.
Woven by Phifer; the mill's full data is on our Phifer SheerWeave 7400/7450R page.
What SheerWeave 7450 does on your glass, and what it does not
Best use
Glass that looks at a wall, a side yard or a parking deck, in a room that wants daylight: a home office, a dressing room, a guest room above the garage. Every colourway is the same weave at 1% openness, so the decision is colour: Cotton or Parchment to keep a small room bright, Pebble, Shale or Flint where a quieter light suits it. Glass facing water takes a solar screen instead.
Privacy
In daylight it hides the room completely: from the street, the sunlit cloth is brighter than anything behind it. A lamp reverses that, and after dark anyone outside sees outlines and movement on the shade. Crestron publishes no light figures for these colours, so we hold each shortlisted swatch in front of a lamp to show what it gives away. Night cover comes from the 7400 twin on a dual roller.
Glare control
It spreads the sun rather than stopping it: in direct light the whole shade becomes an even, bright panel and no beam crosses the floor. Put the desk beside that window, not facing it, and keep a television off the opposite wall. Where glare is the complaint, shortlist the greys before Cotton and judge them in the sun; a low sun square in the window still shows as a bright spot.
Limitations
No view out and no dark: a bedroom behind it is bright at sunrise. Crestron neither railroads nor seams 7450, so an opening wider than the roll takes two shades on one line; where one piece matters more than the card, Bella is the light-filtering cloth Crestron railroads. The cloth has a front and a back, and on Decor hardware, where the roll is on show, the back can face the room.

Ts = solar energy transmitted, Rs = solar energy reflected, As = solar energy absorbed and Tv = visible light transmitted, in percent, as Crestron publishes them in its fabric shop and its Fabric Information Guide (revision 3.23.26) for each colourway; Ts, Rs and As add up to 100. Openness is Crestron's figure; width is the usable roll width. We bring samples of the colours you shortlist to the consultation.
What a Crestron shade in SheerWeave 7450 costs

Options in the same guide: fascia $20 per ft; top and back cover $20 per ft; pocket $50 per ft; dual shade (two fabrics, one bracket) double the single-shade figure. The guide names example fabrics per tier: Tier 1: Bella, Mika, Merinda, Nava; Tier 2: E Screen, SheerWeave 2500, 2700 and 7500, Perla, Dilanna; Tier 3: SheerWeave 7000, Rachel, Nohea, Cosima; Tier 4: Flocke, Vizela, Harika; a few have changed tier since, and every fabric page gives the tier the Crestron fabric shop lists today. The guide excludes control processors, keypads, interfaces, wiring, power supplies, programming and installation. Source (PDF).
Figures are Crestron's own budgetary MSRP guide of June 2022 for one motorized 5 Series roller shade, motor included, before options. They exclude the control system, wiring, power, programming and installation, and Crestron may have changed them since. We quote every project at the measure.
Where SheerWeave 7450 works here
We put 7450 on glass that faces a neighbour rather than the water: a Fort Lauderdale bathroom, a street-side Coral Gables bedroom, a Miami Beach hallway window looking into the next tower. On a north or east elevation it hangs alone. On a west wall the cloth glows all afternoon, so there we specify the pair, 7450 in front and the 7400 blackout behind on a dual roller, and hold both swatches against the glass at the hour the room is used before the colour is fixed.
SheerWeave 7450 is the Phifer light-filtering weave with a same-name blackout, SheerWeave 7400; Merinda pairs light-filtering and blackout the same way at 118 inches across five Coulisse colours, Bella, Mika and Nava do it with tighter Coulisse cloths, and Ella is the light-filtering card with no blackout twin.
SheerWeave 7450: frequently asked
Which hembar do you specify on a 7450 shade?
Crestron lists all four for 7450. Where the bottom of the shade is on show in a living space we specify the Designer Half-Wrap, the hembar wrapped in the shade's own fabric with no weld line and a flush end cap, which Crestron offers up to 120 inches wide on select fabrics. In a bathroom or a laundry the Sealed Pocket, fully enclosed, is the plainer answer. The option is confirmed against the chosen colourway when the shade is configured in Crestron's Design Tool.
Can a 7450 shade and a 7400 shade share one bracket?
Yes, and that is the pairing the two cards are made for. Crestron's dual brackets carry two tubes on one line, the light-filtering 7450 nearest the room and the 7400 blackout behind it at the glass, each with its own place in the room's scenes. The pocket grows with the second tube: Crestron's minimum for a dual shade is 5.75 by 4.125 inches on the QMT3 hardware and 9 by 6 inches on the QMT5, so we fix the pocket size before the ceiling is framed.
What does a Crestron shade in SheerWeave 7450 cost?
Crestron places this fabric in price Tier 2. Its budgetary guide of June 2022 lists a motorized 5 Series roller shade in a Tier 2 fabric at $1,000 for 3 ft x 5 ft, $1,300 for 5 ft x 10 ft and $1,600 for 10 ft x 10 ft, MSRP, motor included, before options, control, wiring and installation. Options, the control system, wiring and installation are on top; we quote the finished shade at the measure.
How wide can a Crestron shade in SheerWeave 7450 be?
Crestron lists a usable roll width of 116 inches for SheerWeave 7450; it is not railroaded, so an opening wider than the roll takes two shades side by side, coupled on one bracket with the light gap set at a mullion. We confirm the limit for the chosen hardware when we measure.
Is Crestron SheerWeave 7450 the same fabric as the mill's?
Crestron buys SheerWeave 7450 from Phifer and lists it under its own SKUs and price tier. The weave is the one on our Phifer SheerWeave 7400/7450R page, where the mill's full optical and fire data lives; Crestron's page here shows the colourways and openness Crestron actually stocks for its shades.
