Most shading systems hide their hardware in a pocket or behind a fascia. Palladiom is Lutron's argument that the hardware can be the finish: a unibody bracket machined from aluminum in seven finishes, a tube barely 2 in across that carries a 12 by 12 ft opening, a slim extruded bottom rail with machined end caps, symmetrical half-inch light gaps, and Intelligent Hembar Alignment holding a row of shades within an eighth of an inch. Lutron publishes under 35 dBA at 3 ft for it, the quietest figure in its range. The wired version runs on the same 35 V QS link as Sivoia QS; Palladiom Wire-Free runs on D cells behind the bracket ring, for a finished room or a door.
It is specified like a finish, not a fixture: the bracket metal with the architect or designer, the fabric from Lutron's library, the exposed roll aligned so a row reads as one line. Where the roller should disappear, Sivoia QS takes the pocket; where there is no wiring and the roll can hide, Triathlon.

The bracket is one piece of machined aluminum with the wiring run inside it and the fasteners hidden; its ring slides open to show the programming buttons and the indicator LEDs, then closes to a plain cylinder. It mounts to the ceiling, the wall or the jamb, and the jamb bracket, set into the window recess, extends the tube visually into the wall so the shade seems to float. The bottom rail is an extruded aluminum bar with machined end caps, slender and balanced so the fabric hangs flat and the line of a row stays level from roller to sill.
Specifying it is a finish decision. The bracket metal is chosen with the architect or designer against the window frame and the keypads; the fabric from Lutron's solar, light-filtering, sheer and blackout collections, with the exposed roll in mind, since the roll itself is on show; and the row is aligned at the measure so every bracket sits on the same datum. For a renovation with no shade pocket, that is the gift: the shade looks intentional rather than retrofitted. New construction and renovations
Palladiom wired
35 V DC low voltage on Lutron's QS link, one run per shade to a plug-in supply, a junction-box supply or a power panel, with each shade addressed on the link and reporting its position. A four-button drive sits behind the finish ring for limits and presets; keypad assignment and system programming are done in Lutron Designer. The version on every window of the Fort Lauderdale estate.
Finished rooms and doors
Palladiom Wire-Free
Three, four or six D cells by size behind the bracket, a single Shade Button and a Pico remote, with the Caséta Smart Bridge Pro for the app and voice. Lutron's ceiling/door bracket is specified for a shade on or above a door, and the shade needs six inches of clearance above it for battery access. Lutron's battery note rates Palladiom Wire-Free on two cycles a day, like Triathlon; the estimate for your sizes comes from Lutron's design tool at the quote.
Both versions take the same fabrics, the same finishes and the same keypads; neither converts to the other after it is ordered. Pairing, limits, favorites and the blink codes for both are on the Lutron programming guide; the pre-wire for the wired version follows the same sequence as Sivoia QS on our pre-wire guide.
Palladiom keypads, in the same metals #
The point of the line is that the keypad on the wall, the thermostat and the shade at the window share one finish.
Palladiom keypads are Lutron's architectural keypads for HomeWorks, in coordinating metal and glass finishes, engraved with the scenes they run: Morning, Entertain, Away, Goodnight. The Palladiom thermostat sits in the same HomeWorks architecture. On the Fort Lauderdale estate there is a Palladiom keypad in every room, and every treatment in the house, the Palladiom shades, the customized drapery tracks and the exterior terrace shades, answers it. RadioRA 3 homes run the same shades from Sunnata keypads and the Lutron app; a Palladiom Wire-Free shade on its own runs from a Pico.

Palladiom drapery #
Lutron's Palladiom drapery system puts the same exposed hardware on a drapery track, and it is one of the two Lutron track lines we price online.
Palladiom drapery is configured in Lutron's own tool from components: the drive unit, the track by the started foot, the brackets, end caps or finials in the Palladiom finishes, the draw hardware, ripplefold tape or pinch-pleat carriers, a wireless option, and splices beyond 144 in (two beyond 288 in, to a maximum of 360 in). Satin Nickel runs at a premium across every component. We captured every one of those prices from Lutron's configurator on 14 October 2026 and built them into the Lutron Price Builder, so a Palladiom track is priced to the dollar at Lutron list: a wired single 96 in ripplefold track on the lighter drive lists at $3,965, a pinch-pleat version at $3,780, and the builder adds installation, programming and 4% delivery and nothing else.

How the Lutron figures are built. Lutron's list price (MSRP) on E Screen 3%, installed and programmed, before tax, with a Pico remote per opening, the Smart Hub Pro (Triathlon) or the RadioRA 3 processor and a power supply per shade (Sivoia QS), the first set of D batteries and 4% delivery. Wired Somfy carries a 24 V power supply per shade; the same 72 by 84 in shade on a Somfy WireFree battery motor is about $933, and the whole main level about $8,287. We sell Lutron at Lutron's list price with installation and programming included and publish it; on a whole project that is about a quarter to a third above Somfy WireFree, or roughly 1.5 to 2 times wired Somfy. Palladiom rollers are not in the table because Lutron prices them per configuration in its ordering tool, on the bracket finish, the mount, the fabric, the size and the power, and we do not publish a figure we have not read from Lutron for your window. The Sivoia QS column is the nearest scale: the same 35 V link, the same RadioRA 3 or HomeWorks processor and power supplies, the same list-price basis with installation and programming included. We quote Palladiom at Lutron's list price after the measure, with the processor, the supplies and the keypads shown as their own lines so it can be compared with Sivoia QS and Triathlon on one basis.

Palladiom shades are also installed and running in our Miami Beach showroom at 500 South Pointe Dr #150, beside Sivoia QS and Triathlon, so the exposed bracket can be seen against glass before it is specified; visits are by appointment. In Miami, Palladiom usually means a Brickell, Edgewater or Miami Beach penthouse where the hardware is meant to be seen against floor-to-ceiling glass; in Boca Raton and Palm Beach it is estate work, specified with the designer.

Same Lutron precision, two looks. Palladiom exposes hand-finished hardware meant to be seen and runs to 144 in wide; Sivoia QS hides in a pocket or fascia, couples to 20 ft, and runs the Roman, honeycomb, wood-blind and drapery drives. Wired Palladiom and Sivoia QS share the same 35 V QS link and the same processor, so many homes use both: Palladiom in the living spaces, Sivoia QS in the bedrooms, the pockets and on the drapery. Lutron's brochure gives 20 to 144 in wide and 12 to 144 in tall, a 12 by 12 ft opening on a single roller, which is what the carbon-fiber tube is for. Lutron's ordering tool confirms the size for a given fabric and power, and a row of Palladiom shades across wider glass is aligned by Intelligent Hembar Alignment within 1/8 in. Is there a battery Palladiom, and how long do the batteries last? #
Yes, Palladiom Wire-Free: three, four or six D cells by size behind the bracket, a single Shade Button and a Pico, with the Caséta Smart Bridge Pro for the app and voice, and a ceiling/door bracket for a shade on or above a door. Lutron's battery-life note rates it on two full cycles a day, the same assumption as Triathlon, and gives the estimate for a given shade in its design tool, which we read at the quote; the note asks for alkaline D cells and warns that sensors and heavy radio traffic shorten the figure. Is Palladiom right for a condo? #
Often. Palladiom Wire-Free needs no electrician, no conduit and no construction, and the exposed bracket suits a finished room with no pocket, which is most condos. On floor-to-ceiling glass in Brickell, Edgewater or Miami Beach it is the shade that looks designed rather than added.
