The rib weave in seven stone and earth tones
M Screen Deco is the decorative half of the M Screen family: the same 1x2 rib weave in 36% fiberglass and 64% vinyl, woven with a bicolour yarn that gives the surface a flecked, mineral character. It comes in 3% and 5%, 98 inches wide, in seven colours named for stone and harvest tones: Parchment, Naturelle, River Rock, Tumbleweed, Flagstone, Hazelnut and Harvest. UV blockage is about 97% at 3% and 95% at 5%, and it carries NFPA 701 TM#1, California Title 19 and CAN/ULC-S109 with GREENGUARD Gold and RoHS lead free.
It is the warmest card Mermet weaves and the smallest, and the figures run from a bright end to a dark one: Parchment reflects 64% of the solar energy that reaches it and passes 12% of the visible light, while Hazelnut reflects 13% and absorbs 83% at 4% visible transmission. That spread means one card can cover a shaded room and a hard exposure. The 98-inch roll is the constraint to plan around: a wide slider takes two shades on one headrail, so we check the opening before anyone falls for a colour.

Coral Gables, Boca Raton and the older Fort Lauderdale houses with terracotta, travertine and dark wood are where this card belongs. Naturelle or Tumbleweed at 3% in a living room reads as a natural fibre from inside and behaves like a screen on the glass. On the water we more often stay with the plain cards, because a warm fleck competes with a blue horizon, and we say so at the consultation.
M Screen Deco is the warmest and narrowest of the Deco cards at 98 inches; E Screen Deco is 122 inches in timber tones, and plain M Screen covers the same rib weave in thirteen simpler colours at three openness factors.

How wide can an M Screen Deco shade be?
98 inches, which is the roll width Mermet publishes for both openness factors. Anything wider is two shades on a shared headrail with the gap aligned at a mullion, or a move to a card woven at 122 inches such as E Screen Deco.
Is it available at 1%?
No. M Screen Deco is woven at 3% and 5% only. For a 1% weave in a warm tone, look at E Screen Deco in Cedar or Elm, or at plain M Screen in Linen/Sable-Cocoa, both of which are woven at 1%.
How wide can a Mermet M Screen Deco shade be?
Mermet publishes standard roll widths of 98" (250 cm) for M Screen Deco, so a single shade can run to about 98 inches wide before a seam or a second shade is needed. Wider openings are covered with two shades on one headrail programmed to move together, or with a seam placed where the mullion hides it. We confirm the exact limit for the chosen system when we measure.

M Screen Deco is a roller shade fabric. We source it directly from Mermet, so the same weave goes on Lutron, Somfy, Crestron or Vertilux motors or a manual chain, cut and finished in our Fort Lauderdale workroom and installed by our own team from Miami to Palm Beach.

Yes. We keep the Mermet sample books in the Fort Lauderdale workroom (4539 Powerline Rd, by appointment) and the Miami Beach showroom (500 South Pointe Dr #150), and we bring the colours you shortlist to the in-home consultation so you can hold them against your glass in your own light.
