Lossie is a Moray cashmere tweed from Holland & Sherry, in the Moray Cashmere collection they make with Johnstons of Elgin (96% cashmere, 4% silk, 54 in wide, made in the UK). It comes in 2 colourways, Camel and Mist. Their spec sheet gives its end use as "Light upholstery, drapery, accessories, and soft goods".
The 54 in width runs up the roll, so panels are made of joined widths and the seams fall inside the pleats.
Cashmere is a protein fibre like wool, soft and light for its warmth; it is lined against the sun, kept behind a shade on bright glass, and happiest in an air-conditioned room (what each fibre does). It weighs 16 oz per linear yard (510 g per linear metre) by Holland & Sherry's figures.

What Lossie does at the window, and what it does not
Best use
Lossie is a tailored drapery cloth: pinch pleat, Euro pleat or ripplefold panels in a study, a bedroom or a living room, lined, on a decorative rod or a track.
Light and privacy
An opaque cloth, so privacy is complete when it is closed. The lining sets the light: a light-filtering sateen keeps a room glowing, an interlining adds body and quiet, a blackout lining turns a bedroom dark (lining guide).

Limitations
Not for unshaded south or west glass on its own: the sun fades natural fibres, so a shade goes in front of it there. At 54 in a wide panel is made of joined widths; the seams sit inside the pleats. No NFPA 701 result in Holland & Sherry's data, so a condo common area or a commercial job that asks for it needs the cloth flame treated with a certificate, if Holland & Sherry can supply it that way, or another cloth.

We make and install
The cloth comes to our Fort Lauderdale workroom, where our five in-house seamstresses cut and sew the draperies, and our own installers hang them on the rod, track or motorized system the window calls for.
