Holland & Sherry make Westminster Houndstooth as a wool houndstooth (100% wool, 56 in wide, made in Chile). It comes in 8 colourways, Dillon, Logan, Lewis, Muray, Campbell, Lindsay, Morrison and Wallace. Their spec sheet gives its end use as "Upholstery, drapery, accessories, soft goods and wall upholstery".
At 56 in it is cut up the roll like a conventional drapery cloth: a wide panel is made of joined widths, with each seam hidden inside a pleat or a ripplefold wave. Holland & Sherry give the repeat as 0.47 in across, 0.43 in down; we match it across every seam and from window to window, which adds yardage and is figured into the order.
Wool brings weight, a soft hand and quiet, and it resists flame on its own; what it does not resist is the sun, which fades and weakens it, so it wants a lining and, on bright south and west glass, a shade in front of it. Best use
Westminster Houndstooth is a heavy cloth, the kind that makes a drapery read as tailored: a study, a library, a dining room or a bedroom, pinch pleat or ripplefold on a track or rod sized for the weight, lined, often blackout-lined.
Light and privacy
An opaque cloth, so privacy is complete when it is closed. The lining sets the light: a light-filtering sateen keeps a room glowing, an interlining adds body and quiet, a blackout lining turns a bedroom dark (lining guide).

Limitations
Not for unshaded south or west glass on its own: the sun fades natural fibres, so a shade goes in front of it there. At 56 in a wide panel is made of joined widths, and the repeat is matched at every seam, which costs yardage. The weight needs a track or rod sized for it; a light decorative rod will bow. No NFPA 701 result in Holland & Sherry's data, so a condo common area or a commercial job that asks for it needs the cloth flame treated with a certificate, if Holland & Sherry can supply it that way, or another cloth.
