Holland & Sherry Wool Medley
Jacquard wool sheer, 2 colourways, 100% wool, 125 in wide. Holland & Sherry's own figures, and how we make it up as sheers in our Fort Lauderdale workroom, from the cloth your designer orders.
Jacquard wool sheer at 125 in for walls of glass, in 2 colourways
Wool Medley is a jacquard wool sheer from Holland & Sherry (100% wool, 125 in wide, made in Italy). It comes in 2 colourways, White and Mist. Their spec sheet gives its end use as "Drapery and window treatments".
As woven, the pattern runs across the width; Holland & Sherry note it can be turned 90 degrees (railroaded) so the pattern runs vertically, and the 125 inch width becomes the drop, so a panel nearly that tall, less the heading and the hem, needs no seam. The repeat is 40.9 in across, 38.19 in down, matched at every seam and across the windows of a room, so the yardage is worked out on the repeat rather than the finished size.
A wool sheer brings a softness a polyester voile does not have, and wool resists flame on its own; what it does not resist is hard sun, so on unshaded west glass a solar roller behind it does the shading. In a lived-in, air-conditioned house it is at home (curtain fabric types). It weighs 420 g per linear metre (about 14 oz per linear yard) by Holland & Sherry's figures.
Their drapery note advises hanging the drapery before it is hemmed, so the cloth settles to the room.

What Wool Medley does at the window, and what it does not
Best use
Wool Medley is a wide-width sheer, so it is for walls of glass: ripplefold on a ceiling track, two and a half to three times fullness so the wave is even from end to end, in living and dining rooms where the point is the light and the view.
Light and privacy
By day it softens the light and frames the view; after dark, with the room lit, the room shows from outside, so sheers are layered with a lined or blackout panel where privacy matters.
Cloth and care
100% wool; 420 g per linear metre (about 14 oz per linear yard).
Limitations
No privacy at night with the lights on, and no blackout; it is layered where either is needed. Natural fibres fade in hard sun, so on unshaded south or west glass a solar roller behind it takes the sun first. No NFPA 701 result in Holland & Sherry's data, so a condo common area or a commercial job that asks for it needs the cloth flame treated with a certificate, if Holland & Sherry can supply it that way, or another cloth.

What Holland & Sherry say about Wool Medley
End use, in their words
"Drapery and window treatments", from Holland & Sherry's spec sheet.
Their drapery note
The cloth is made from natural fibres; drapery should hang before it is hemmed, so it can adjust to the climate of the room.
Fabric direction
As woven, the pattern runs across the width; Holland & Sherry note it can be turned 90 degrees (railroaded) so the pattern runs vertically, and the 125 inch width becomes the drop, so a panel nearly that tall, less the heading and the hem, needs no seam.
Flame tests
NFPA 701, the drapery flame test: not listed.
Care and handling
Wide-width goods are shipped folded, and Holland & Sherry advise ironing out the creases.

How Wool Medley becomes sheers in your home
Your designer specifies
Holland & Sherry sell to the trade, so the cloth is chosen and ordered by your designer, with the colour code and the sample in hand. Not working with a designer? Tell us; we can suggest a cloth we order ourselves.
We measure and give the yardage
We measure the windows, settle the style, the fullness and the lining, and work out the yardage on the width and the repeat, so the order to Holland & Sherry is right the first time.
We make and install
The cloth comes to our Fort Lauderdale workroom, where our five in-house seamstresses cut and sew the sheers, and our own installers hang them on the rod, track or motorized system the window calls for.
Where Wool Medley works here
On the ocean side of a Sunny Isles or Fort Lauderdale living room, Wool Medley would hang floor to ceiling on a ceiling-mounted track, hand-drawn or motorized on Lutron or Somfy, with a solar roller behind it for the glare and, in a bedroom, a blackout panel on a second track. It is cut and sewn in our Fort Lauderdale workroom and installed by our own team from Miami to Palm Beach.
For the same use, compare Wool Medley with Harper (linen wool sheer, 118 in, 7 colourways), Wool Challis (mélange wool sheer, 120 in, 7 colourways) and Flutter Weave (linen alpaca sheer, 130 in, 4 colourways).

Wool Medley: frequently asked
How many colours does Holland & Sherry Wool Medley come in?
2 colourways on Holland & Sherry's site when we read it on October 7, 2026: White and Mist. Every one is listed on this page with its code; Holland & Sherry's photographs of each are on their own site, linked from the table.
Can I buy Wool Medley from you?
No. Holland & Sherry sell to the trade, so your designer orders the cloth from them. We make it up and install it: we measure and work out the yardage, the cloth is sent to our Fort Lauderdale workroom, and our seamstresses cut and sew the sheers.
Is Wool Medley fire rated for drapery?
Holland & Sherry's data gives no NFPA 701 result for it. For a residence that is not an issue; where a building asks for NFPA 701 on the drapery, ask your designer whether Holland & Sherry can supply it flame treated with a certificate, or choose another cloth.
Do you match the Wool Medley repeat?
Always. Holland & Sherry give the repeat as 40.9 in across, 38.19 in down; we match it at every seam and from window to window, so the yardage your designer orders is worked out on the repeat.
What does Wool Medley cost made up as sheers?
The cloth is bought through your designer at Holland & Sherry's price, so our quote covers what we make and install: the fabrication, the track or rod and the installation, worked out from the measure. Ask for a workroom price with the button above and we come back with a figure, not a range.
