Cotton velvet, 55 in wide, in 32 colourways
Virtuoso is one of the Holland & Sherry cloths we make up as draperies: a cotton velvet (86% cotton, 8% modal, 6% polyester (pile: 100% cotton), 55 in wide, made in the Netherlands). The range runs to 32 colourways: Swan, Cream, Latte, Café, Camel, Earth, Chestnut, Bronze plus 24 more. Their spec sheet gives its end use as "Upholstery, drapery, wall upholstery, soft goods, and accessories". It is new in their Fall 2026 collection.
At 55 in it is cut up the roll like a conventional drapery cloth: a wide panel is made of joined widths, with each seam hidden inside a pleat or a ripplefold wave.
Cotton takes colour with a soft matte face; like linen it wants a lining that carries the UV, and it is kept out of wet rooms. At 25 oz per linear yard (800 g per linear metre) it is a heavy cloth, so the track or rod is sized for the weight.

What Virtuoso does at the window, and what it does not
Best use
Virtuoso is a velvet, so it is the drapery for a room that wants weight and quiet: a media room, a formal living or dining room, a study, a bedroom with the pile on the room side.
Light and privacy
Closed, Virtuoso gives full privacy; how much light comes through is decided by the lining we sew behind it: light-filtering for living rooms, interlining for body and quiet, blackout for bedrooms (the lining guide).
Cloth and care
86% cotton, 8% modal, 6% polyester (pile: 100% cotton); 25 oz per linear yard (800 g per linear metre); Martindale 40,000 rubs; Wyzenbeek 50,000 double rubs. Care, by Holland & Sherry's sheet: professional dry clean only.
Limitations
At 55 in a wide panel is made of joined widths; the seams sit inside the pleats. The weight needs a track or rod sized for it; a light decorative rod will bow. No NFPA 701 result in Holland & Sherry's data, so a condo common area or a commercial job that asks for it needs the cloth flame treated with a certificate, if Holland & Sherry can supply it that way, or another cloth.

How Virtuoso becomes draperies in your home
Your designer specifies
Holland & Sherry sell to the trade, so the cloth is chosen and ordered by your designer, with the colour code and the sample in hand. Not working with a designer? Tell us; we can suggest a cloth we order ourselves.
We measure and give the yardage
We measure the windows, settle the style, the fullness and the lining, and work out the yardage on the width and the repeat, so the order to Holland & Sherry is right the first time.
We make and install
The cloth comes to our Fort Lauderdale workroom, where our five in-house seamstresses cut and sew the draperies, and our own installers hang them on the rod, track or motorized system the window calls for.
