Crestron SheerWeave 2360 Fabric
11 colourways, basketweave, openness 10%, Crestron Tier 2. Every swatch and every figure Crestron publishes, from the Crestron-certified team in Fort Lauderdale that specifies and installs Crestron shades from Miami to Palm Beach.
The 10% weave for north glass and shaded elevationsTier 2
SheerWeave 2360 is the most open weave of the Phifer 2500 family that Crestron stocks: a vinyl-coated fiberglass basketweave at 10% openness, Tier 2 in the Heritage Collection, 124 inches wide in ten of its eleven colourways and 98 inches in Brilliant/White. Crestron's Fabric Information Guide lists two compositions for the family, 35% fiberglass with 65% vinyl and 37% with 63%, and a visible transmittance of 11% to 25% across the card. That range is the point: it leaves the view largely as it was and takes some of the brightness out, which is what a window that never sees direct sun needs and what a west wall cannot live with.
The card is the same eleven names that run through SheerWeave 2390, 2410 and 2500: Beige, Brilliant/White, Charcoal, Oyster and Pearl Gray on their own, then Beige/Pearl Gray, Oyster/Beige, Oyster/Pearl Grey and the three charcoal mixes, Charcoal/Alpaca, Charcoal/Chestnut and Charcoal/Grey. At this openness the colour decides the heat as much as the light. Charcoal transmits 10% of the solar energy that reaches it and absorbs 86% at the glass; Brilliant/White transmits 27% and reflects 62%; Oyster sits close behind at 27% transmitted and 57% reflected. The mill's full data for the four weaves is on our Phifer SheerWeave 2500, 2410, 2390 and 2360 page.
Woven by Phifer; the mill's full data is on our Phifer SheerWeave 2500 series page.
What SheerWeave 2360 does on your glass, and what it does not
Best use
North-facing rooms and shaded glass: a living room that looks at the Intracoastal from under a deep terrace, a stairwell, a kitchen window on the sheltered side of the house, a north bedroom with a blackout behind. Take Charcoal/Grey or Charcoal/Chestnut where the view is the reason for the window, Pearl Gray or Beige where the room is pale. On any elevation the sun strikes directly, move to 2410 or 2500 in the same name.
Privacy
Daytime only, and less of it than the tighter weaves give. By day a 10% weave gives some cover from the street, most in the pale colourways, which bounce daylight back, and least in Charcoal, the clearest to look through either way. After dark, with a lamp on, every colourway on this page is a window from outside. A bedroom or a bathroom takes a dual roller with a light-filtering or blackout layer behind.
Glare control
The least glare control in the family, by design: the view stays crisp, which is enough for a north living room and not for a television wall or a desk with monitors, where the tight end of the family belongs. If glare matters on shaded glass, Charcoal/Grey at 12% of solar energy transmitted is the pick, Beige at 19% or Oyster/Beige at 24% the ones to avoid.
Limitations
It darkens nothing, and it does not belong on sunlit glass: this is the weave for elevations the sun never hits, never a west wall. The charcoal mixes still hold 73% to 84% of the solar energy at the window, Charcoal/Alpaca the least of them, and hand some of it back to the room; Pearl Gray holds 54%. An open weave does nothing for sound. For sleep, add a blackout behind it.

Ts = solar energy transmitted, Rs = solar energy reflected, As = solar energy absorbed and Tv = visible light transmitted, in percent, as Crestron publishes them in its fabric shop and its Fabric Information Guide (revision 3.23.26) for each colourway; Ts, Rs and As add up to 100. Openness is Crestron's figure; width is the usable roll width. We bring samples of the colours you shortlist to the consultation.

The guide excludes control processors, keypads, interfaces, wiring, power supplies, programming and installation. Source (PDF).
Figures are Crestron's own budgetary MSRP guide of June 2022 for one motorized 5 Series roller shade, motor included, before options. They exclude the control system, wiring, power, programming and installation, and Crestron may have changed them since. We quote every project at the measure.
Where SheerWeave 2360 works here
We put 2360 on the glass the sun never reaches directly: a north-facing living room in a Fort Lauderdale tower, the sheltered side of a Coral Gables courtyard house, a dining room under a deep Intracoastal balcony. It is never our answer for a west wall, whatever the colour; there the same name in 2500 or 2410 does the work. In a view room we lean to Charcoal or Charcoal/Grey for the clearest read of the water, and to Oyster or Beige where the room is pale.
SheerWeave 2360 is the open end of the Phifer card that 2390, 2410 and 2500 carry down to 5%, 3% and 1%; SheerWeave 2710 is the dual-sided twill at the same 10% in the Oyster colourways only, and E Screen is the Mermet basketweave that covers all four values in one design.
SheerWeave 2360: frequently asked
Can a charcoal 2360 go on a west-facing window?
No. Charcoal 2360 passes 10% of the solar energy that reaches it, and with a low western sun in line with the glass a 10% weave leaves the room bright and the glare on, dark yarn or not. The same Charcoal in SheerWeave 2500 passes 1% and absorbs 95% rather than 86%, which is the figure a west or south-west wall wants; 2410 at 3% is the compromise where the view matters more than the afternoon. Hold 2360 for the north and shaded elevations it was chosen for.
SheerWeave 2360 or E Screen at 10%: which one?
Both are Tier 2 vinyl-coated fiberglass basketweaves in the Heritage Collection, and Crestron stocks both at 10%. E Screen puts eleven Mermet colours across four weaves on one page and rolls 120 inches; 2360 rolls 124 inches, 98 in Brilliant/White, and shares its Phifer card with 2390, 2410 and 2500. We choose by the colour card and by which mill the rest of the house is already running, and we bring both books to the consultation so the two Charcoals can hang against the same glass.
What is the difference between 2360 and SheerWeave 2710?
The construction and the card. 2360 is the plain basketweave in eleven colourways at 124 inches. SheerWeave 2710 is the dual-sided twill of the 2700 family at the same 10%, but Crestron stocks it in five Oyster colourways only, 96 inches wide, with a visible transmittance of 24% to 32% against 11% to 25% here. For a wide north window with a charcoal, a beige or a white in the scheme, 2360 is the one that fits; 2710 is for an Oyster shade whose back will be seen.
What does a Crestron shade in SheerWeave 2360 cost?
Crestron places this fabric in price Tier 2. Its budgetary guide of June 2022 lists a motorized 5 Series roller shade in a Tier 2 fabric at $1,000 for 3 ft x 5 ft, $1,300 for 5 ft x 10 ft and $1,600 for 10 ft x 10 ft, MSRP, motor included, before options, control, wiring and installation. Options, the control system, wiring and installation are on top; we quote the finished shade at the measure.
How wide can a Crestron shade in SheerWeave 2360 be?
Crestron lists a usable roll width of 124 inches or 98 inches for SheerWeave 2360; the fabric can be railroaded, turned 90 degrees on the roll, so one shade can run wider than the roll as long as it is no taller than the roll width, and where it is taller Crestron joins two widths with a horizontal seam, which we line up with a mullion or a transom. We confirm the limit for the chosen hardware when we measure.
Is Crestron SheerWeave 2360 the same fabric as the mill's?
Crestron buys SheerWeave 2360 from Phifer and lists it under its own SKUs and price tier. The weave is the one on our Phifer SheerWeave 2500 series page, where the mill's full optical and fire data lives; Crestron's page here shows the colourways and openness Crestron actually stocks for its shades.
